A decent adventure with a safe battle system that was rewarding enough. The gameplay gimmicks, like changing characters midway through a dungeon, were fun enough however the game was spoiled for me at points were puzzles were impossible without a guide to help. Easy enough to complete 100% in under 50 hours which felt quite satisfying for a JRPG.

The visuals and controls haven't aged very well, but this game remains as addictive to play and funny as it used to be. Never get bored of single or multiplayer.

This game was such a joy to play, and considering I first played it in 2022, that opinion can't be accused of being driven by nostalgia bias.

The premise for the plot is original and the characters are likeable with considerable depth. I really felt myself rooting for Raz throughout. Each level is so ridiculously creative and unique, with significantly more hits than misses.

I really enjoyed hunting high and low for collectables in the camp hub world, the asylum hub not so much due to it's less-open design. Each power up made me reimagine how I approached exploring, however there were a couple that remained good as forgotten when I was finished with them in a specific task.

This game ticked a lot of boxes for me as a fan of platformers, collect-a-thons and colourful characters. I can't wait until the sequel becomes a lot cheaper so I can play that too.

Growing up, I spent so many hours playing multiplayer on this game. The game modes were so varied and fun with the range of playable characters, and the main campaign was engaging. I still feel like I have unfinished business with TimeSplitters FP as I've never unlocked the full cast of unlockables due to the challenge level, however I have the fear that attempting to fulfill this ambition in the future would expose a game that's gameplay and graphics have aged poorly.

Nothing like the other Heroes games, but actually quite fun in it's own way! I felt I unlocked this games potential after watching speed run videos and realising that full map exploration was not the way to beat it.

They took the best kart racer ever and made it better. The controls are outstanding, and I felt more inclined to master techniques to help me master gameplay than I did in the original. Online could have been more refined, but the single player is so much fun I don't consider that to take anything away from a sensational gaming experience.

A truly atrocious gaming experience. As a child, I can't remember it being that way, but I attempted to complete it in one session recently and had a horrible time. The way Shrek bounces off obstacles is infuriating, and every gameplay feature in the map seems utterly useless. I persevered with the pointless mini games, as infuriatingly difficult (due to the game's performance) or impotently easy as they were, only for my game to crash loading the final level. The worst game I have ever played.

At risk of repeating every single review of this game, I did really enjoy the design of this game and the platforming controls, but there was just something so unrewarding about the challenge to fully complete each level. I loved the flashback tapes up until about the 10th one when I just lost motivation for how difficult they were to unlock and finish, which caused me genuine levels of stress. I ended up having more fun when I abandoned 106% and attempted to finish the story without forcing full completion. Didn't really care for the other character levels or N'verted mode. Did really enjoy casually playing the Crash levels though, and it is a beautifully designed game.

Really enjoyed the classic Sonic levels and most of the modern Sonic stages, however I had a horrible time with the final boss, which had no rhythm or obvious route. The whole game felt like real fan service!

A really good, wholesome package of a game. While single player is nothing spectacular as a platformer, my siblings and I had fun completing it in co-op mode while attempting to collect all the stickers. The level creation was a dream come true for teenage me, and the plethora of community creations never got boring.

My favourite ever experience in gaming.

When I bought this game, I didn't have any nostalgia bias going in, however I was getting deep into my Playstation JRPG discovery phase, a genre I was obsessed with. I was a big fan of the first Suikoden and it's somewhat chill nature. This game, however, ticked every box.

The story had me immensely engaged throughout, whether that was the politics, betrayals or the magnitude of Luca Blight's evil. The secret ending gave me goosebumps, I remember being so nervous as I worked through it.

I absolutely love the visuals, they feel so timeless, and there's something so rewarding about the character recruitment throughout. The battle system isn't complicated, but with so much to do in the game to focus on this didn't feel like a bad thing. I was never overly enthusiastic about the mini games throughout the castle but it was nice to know they were available.

The best thing I can praise about Suikoden 2 is it's atmosphere throughout, you can really feel everything going on in the game as a person. A real remarkable game and my all time favourite.

Such a strange, unique game. I did enjoy playing it, but didn't really feel inclined to keep going past day 50 or so. It's definitely worth trying for it's individuality alone.

Infuriatingly, punishingly difficult, but that added to an experience in it's own right.

I played this game as a child and couldn't get past the first musical stage, which makes complete sense. I gave it another go on the Playstation Classic after hearing about it's reputation as one of the most difficult games of all time, but only started having fun when I began using the 99 lives cheat. This helped me relax a bit, but truth be told, I got so angry throughout Rayman. I am proud I managed to complete it, but this would have been impossible without the lives cheat and a guide for all the lums in totally unrealistic locations.

The art style and the music are fantastic, some of the best on the PS1.

Some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game! On my playthrough I was desperate every day after work to continue the adventure. It basically took everything about JRPGs and refined it (I'm a big fan of removing random encounters a la Earthbound/Chrono Trigger) to create such an enjoyable package. A really worthwhile experience.

Quite a disappointment after how much fun Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was. Loved the thematic design of the casino levels though.
