I don't have anything to say about this game that hasn't already been said, so I'll just say this about my relationship with it: It made me remember about my long forgotten dream of being a game developer. Hope it's not too late to realize it.

This game is excellent, don't get scared by the dungeon maps people love to show every time this game is brought up, most of the dungeons are really well designed. I disliked some of the content added in redux (Alex and some of the dungeon gimmicks added in the womb of grief, those are bullshit).
The combat is good, I still prefer the turn press system, but it's still better than your average JRPG battle system.

This game is starting a new trend.
It's fun but it gets repetitive pretty fast. It also feels like it doesn't make a difference if you play alone or with friends, I don't feel like I interact with them much except for a few minigames.

If you close your eyes and pretend it's a marvel game or some shit like that, it's pretty ok

Janky, buggy and fishy but I had some fun with it.

It's pretty ok but I'm a sucker for pre-rendered 3D sprites, and the OST slaps! So, extra points for that.

damn they mispelled sonic the hedgehog 4

An addictive game with beautiful pixel art. It's a shame that some RNG factors can feel too unfair.

Most of the problems of this VN stems from the fact that the author is trying to deconstruct a medium and a genre he doesn't know much about.
You end up with a story where half of the time it's a generic and tropey 'dating sim' and the other time it's a showcase of predictable creepy moments with a few interesting parts here and there.
I don't believe this is as bad as people believe it is but it's not really a groundbreaking title by any means.
