Minor spoilers ahead? But probably worth knowing?:

Hey, game designers! If you're going to do a fakeout ending, please signpost it in literally any way! This game signified absolutely in no way that its fake ending was actually fake. Myself and at least 3 other people I've talked to about it fell for it. The credits played in full and I literally uninstalled the game after it because I straight up thought it was over. I only found out that I hadn't actually finished the game because I tried looking up alternate endings and everything was completely foreign! Please just tell me in any clear way that I'm not done please?

I think it does more than nothing at least. Aside from changing the title screen and giving you an achievement for a "Bad ending" implying there's other, significantly better ones, it's kind of the thing of starting again and seeing you still keep most of your key items and stuff like that.

It's playing somewhat off of the horror game tradition of bad endings and repeat playthroughs being good for getting a fuller picture of the experience.

Plus, considering there's an overwhelming theme of repetition, especially found in alders notes... In my playthrough, it just felt natural to just immediate see if there was some sort of differences going on. With that said, I could totally see missing that or not coming to that conclusion, so... I get where you're coming from.

I agree it could've made it a little more obvious but youtubers owned by the fakeout ending worked for my favour, I had no video to cheat my way through the final part of game the first few days or so, the guides were the usual verbose stuff and of no help, I had to sit and play by myself and had a blast

hence very epic

wtf no counter argument
then i'll disagree with myself: if you'd know about the eternal darkness twist. Then you'd find the fakeout end owns very fun

I don't have any counterargument because you didn't offer anything to respond to. You're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to mine, which is that I think there is not enough signposting for the fakeout, and know multiple other people who fell for it.

And for the record, my rating would be the same if there wasn't a confusing fakeout.

"I agree it could've made it a little more obvious..."

"wtf no counter argument"... of course she didn't argue with you because you literally agreed with her that it could have been made more obvious? you need to stop treating everything on the internet as a smarmy neverending argument. It'll do you a lot of good.

she wasnt the one i wanted a reply from, was trying to see if we had some survival horror nut around who actually played stuff reminding people of some eternal darkness twist, or signalis fan poiting out how you can't change profiles anymore, believe me i dont take anything seriously on backloggd
