ace attorney
i like this series. i have not played PLvPWAA
9 Games
counting both games as 1 because they are two halves of a whole and what a damn good whole it is. this game proves that ace attorney at its most original is when its at its best. the victorian setting allows for so much variety in its cases, the strongest in the series, and all the characters, main and side, are so memorable. the soundtrack is also one of the best of any game ive played. this truly is the greatest ace attorney.
1
the best of the trilogy. its serious cases are great, its fun cases are great, bridge to the turnabout is a fantastic conclusion to the whole trilogy. awesome.
2
a big improvement over the first, the cast really shines in this one and the cases are all pretty good. i still dont like the investigations gameplay loop but its quite good.
3
its ace attorney at its most ace attorney. the ace attorniest. its good.
4
when its exploring new ground for the series its great, when its tied to the series past its not great. kind of foreshadows ace attorney 5 and 6 in that way.
5
a bit better than dual destinies. still has most of that game's flaws. tries to force apollo into the main protagonist role and does not succeed because it still reveres phoenix too much. athena has one case and its the worst in the series. cases 2 and 3 are pretty good though.
6
farewell my turnabout is good. the other cases arent. this also makes farewell my turnabout less good because theres no strong buildup to it. sad!
7
throws out everything interesting about AA4 just so the spotlight can be on phoenix again, who acts exactly like he did in the trilogy. i like athena but she was done so dirty in this one. she should have been the sole protagonist but she is instead a glorified assistant. disappointing game. apollo justice is also a character in this video game.
8
boring game makes me sleep. most cases are very uninteresting and i dont like the gameplay loop as much as mainline AA
