I will separate this review into two sections, one being gameplay and the story.
Gameplay:
The gameplay didn't change to dramatically but combat definitely got a upgrade. The Venom system made the fighting more fun and smoother. Plenty of moves for Single Targets but also a few choices for AoE attacks. Stealth was overpowered in the first game and if that wasn't enough already they added invisibility which makes lots of sections too easy. Gadgets were shallow where most players probably will only use the mines. Skills also were also shallow with minimal change in gameplay. Movement was also refined , the usage of Venom Jump and Dash really adds to the experience yet I still believe swinging and movement should be a bit faster , yet this is just a minimal issue I have myself.
Story:
It's bad. I am sad that the team didn't learn from the first game in which they bombarded the player with the sinister six and also teasing Venom (the symbiote one) to boot. In this game it's the complete opposite because there is nothing. The whole Roxxon plot made no sense. Prowler as a character was also shallow (not to mention how quick we get to "know" him). Tinkerer wasn't actually the "Tinkerer" but instead just a revenge plot which anyone can see from a mile away. Kingpin had a small cameo in Orange Jumpsuit which was weird. The whole story was all over the place and my honest opinion is that this game should have been a DLC for the first game (which I thought it was before playing it.).

this game plays like complete ass and the story isn't really helping either. The gameplay has multiple flaws with a complete horde of enemies not meant for a RE sort of game. They also had the bright idea of adding collision on enemy corpses which blocks your way. Sheva is sharing her braincell with the other AI's in the game to the point where you wish the game was just over. The story was just weird. I know that RE was never meant to be taken completely serious but, holy shit, the story feels like a sorry attempt at copying the worst Michael Bay movie which it can't even manage. The 2 Stars are for Jill .
