There are just one too few options in this to make it as good as Aces, but man, it's great to see how much Camelot nailed on the first try here. Played some doubles online with friends and we might as well have been playing in an actual tennis tournament for how much pressure it felt like we were under. A real winning formula.

Mario Tennis is my favorite Mario sports title. Simple yet really fun gameplay with humorous reactions from its characters.

Singleplayer is lame but the Multiplayer ist realy realy fun

This game holds up even better than I remember it being as a kid. This was one that I rented a few times, but never owned. Glad to be able to play it whenever I want on Switch now. One of the best Mario sports games in my opinion.

Lots of people think I'm crazy when I say that this is the best Sports game ever made. Although it lacks the over-the-top absurdity that would come in later Mario Sports titles, it simulates tennis matches extremely well and I can't get over the top notch music in this game. Every track is amazing, it is one of the best OSTs ever. Seriously

Probably the last really enjoyable Mario Tennis on home consoles before the series became plagued with stupid super powers and ridiculous randomness which destroyed any kind of actual tennis that made it fun to play.

I remembered this as the best Mario sports spin-off from my childhood, but going back to it I felt it was "just fine." Single-player benefits a lot from the dynamic camera mode, the music's pretty good, and Boo is fun.

I don't know why this works so well, but it does. I like it quite a bit more than later Mario Tennis games which add too many ancillary mechanics, this one is basically just tennis with Mario characters and that is enough for me.
