it sure is poker... i learned to play through this with some friends' help and it was fun, but it felt like the randomization was off and the AI tended to be dumb. they constantly folded almost every chance they got and nearly every table's community cards were dealt at least a pair or 3/5 of a straight every round which was very bizarre and didn't feel true to life with any playing card games i've played before. after a couple hours of play it seemed weird how consistently cracked the table was, and my friends seemed to get duplicate hands often too.
still, the presentation is nice and the fact that i can just pull this up whenever during a vc with people and play some friendly goofy poker is fun and appreciated. it just seems that it's just not particularly well programmed.

It's an easily accessible form of Texas Hold 'em. Betting doesn't really mean anything (if you run out of money you can just get more) and any sufficiently large group is going to have someone go all in every time but, I mean, it's poker. Still fun, and it's available in a couple of button clicks rather than trying to convince everyone to go to a link or download a game or something. This sort of thing is pretty much exactly what activities should be used for.
