A remake that looks and plays worse than the original in almost everyway. However, this does include the original Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night so I'll cut it some slack since those are some of the best platformers out there.

Overall Rating: 9.4/10

Good:
- Great Level Design
- Best Boss Design in the Series and Adds onto that with Some Fun and Inventive Bosses
- Contains the Amazing Original Music and Remixed Music with some added Extras.
- Fun Boss Rush Mode/Boss Rush Multiplayer Mode
- New and Improved Stage 5’ Compared to Original
- Extras Give More Reason to Explore Expansive Stages to 100%

Bad:
- Graphics Are Heavily Dated As Most 2.5D Games on the PSP Usually Are
- Game Doesn’t Perfectly Control Like Rondo
- Wish There Was More Added Content
- Did Not Fix Meh Stage 1/2 of Dracula Which is a Shame Since it’s One of the Few Bad Bosses in Rondo of Blood

One of the best 2D platformers of all time remade for the modern era… or rather the era of the late 2000’s. The Poor Graphics do sour this game, and I do wish that we had more stages/extensions to short stages from Rondo. However, it is undeniable to say that this game doesn’t perfectly lean on the gameplay aspects that made the original great.

The added reasons for exploration only see to enhance the game’s original stage design, and the added bosses perfectly follow the great and dynamic boss design of the original.

While I wouldn’t say in it’s current state it replaces the original, I would say if just a few things were changed, it wouldn’t be crazy to say that this is the definitive version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.

Top 10 jogos que nunca vou zerar

Superb 2.5D remake of Rondo Of Blood.

now THIS is a remake. Love it every time I played from start to finish

Really good remake, the gameplay remained the same and it is as solid as ever, the graphics didn't age that well but I really like the designs of the characters made for this game. While I'd still recommend playing the original instead this is still a good time if you're a fan of action platformers and especially of the franchise

Played this explicitly to unlock the PSP version of SotN. Also my first Castlevania ever. It was great but I don't think being 2.5D did it any favors. It's kinda "PSP/DS"-ugly and some of the animations look stiff and/or stupid (the axe knight guys charging you). I also think the atmosphere isn't quite right from what I've seen of Rondo of Blood (which makes me even more excited to get to that). My favorite part were probably the bosses and especially the true final Dracula fight, which is probably among my favorite boss fights ever.

Great Castlevania. Two routes add a good amount of content. Solid gameplay and music. Nice.

Instead of just porting the PC Engine version of Rondo of Blood, Konami felt the best decision was to make this ugly looking remake. Luckily the original (and translated) version of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are unlockable, which is pretty neat.

A solid remake, even though I'm not a fan of making 2D games 3D. The only reason I didn't finish it was because I had just played through the original like 3 times in a row and I was getting tired of the boring visuals.

the remake is pretty okay but it has two of the best games in the series as a bonus

Kind a weird game. It's a an expanded port of Rondo of Blood. It looks awful and plays worse than the game it's based on. However, this game does contain a full copy of the original Rondo and SotN (albeit redubbed).

poderia ser melhor mas ta valendo

I really did not have a fun time with this game, It was more annoying than fun tbh. But I did like the plot and the German in the intro

The slightly toned down difficulty and odd manner in which the models interact with the environment put a damper on the experience, but it's still rondo of blood man.

I like this. Plays well, has nice music, and while the graphics aren't the best, it's still a fun game.

Un remake cojonudo de un juego cojonudo la verdad y si no te gusta el remake te viene con el juego original incluido de gratis

Second GOTM finished for May 2023. The voice acting was weird, Richter felt incredibly stiff, and the 2.5D they went for left it looking a bit hideous. However, the boss fights were fun, and especially the final Dracula fight was a blast.

ngl i dont like really much the 3d but it was a good game

played this game to get to symphony of the night. tbh this game is kinda ugly and it felt like booty to control. Maybe its not as bad as the score im giving it, but from what i played i didnt really care for this game at all.

Thanks for unlockable SOTN (the game itself is also pretty good I guess).
