funny meme yes i know but it's bad for no other reason than it's use of the puyo puyo 1 ruleset which makes it near unplayable for anyone used to newer puyo games

From this one I mostly learned that I’m no good at Puyo Puyo, which believe it or not is already a thing I knew! So arguably a waste of time there. But seriously, the story mode in this is punishingly difficult if you’re not extremely good at Puyo Puyo. Other than that, all I can really say is the choice to set it in the world of the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon instead of the continuity of the other games or the somewhat more popular Archie Comics/SatAm series world is intriguing. But that’s about all I got.

It's just puyo puyo sonic. So in it's own right it's fine. Not much of a puzzle guy but i do like puyo puyo. (Thanks Yakuza)
It's one of those game you remember even if you only played it once or twice. It's existence is justified in Sonic Mania though.

One of the worst Puyo games but now the iconic music is gone and almost all charm along with it. No one would reference this game if the title wasn't so funny.
Divertido jogo de puzzle estilo puyo puyo com os personagens de sonic, perde pontos pela dificuldade no final.
Gostei do game,ele é bem difícil depois do decorrer do game,mas o segundo jogo que infelizmente ficou só no Japão é mais promissor
My first Puyo Puyo game. Stressful, yet addictive. I've played worse cartoon tie-in games.
A 'Puyo Puyo' reskin that replaces the actually interesting characters with the no-name losers from 'The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.' It's cool that we at least got some version of the game but I'd rather have had the version with a villain whose name upsets pearl-clutchers.

Puyo Puyo with a Sonic related name slapped on it. That weird decision aside, the tile matching in Puyo Puyo is still excellent and just as fun in this game, even if it does seem like a bit of a cynical marketing exercise.

See the scenario mode is fun, but at one point it gets so unfairly difficult - as in, can't stop the AI from suddnely dropping a bunch of rocks onto your screen - that it's impossible to play. Bet it would be sick to play against a friend though, and would love to see them bring this back as a minigame one day, more polished

It's Puyo Puyo with a sonic cartoon skin. It's fun but one of the worst versions of Puyo Puyo to pick up and play, due to it being released before major improvements to the Puyo Puyo formula were made. The character art is very expressive, and gives the game a certain charm, but I personally prefer the original Puyo Puyo art over it.
This game is fucking hardcore, best game ever made
