This is a really short but sweet miniseries on the The Walking Dead universe, it has simple characters that work well and the protagonist is a badass with a machete.
It really works well as a separated story of the normal storyline, and you can play it in an afternoon since it's like one hour per chapter.

I'm genuinely confused why this is a game. As a tv special, as a movie, as anything else it probably would have been a better fit to it, but often I feel that when I play through this game it just wasn't living up to the full potential of what the story had to offer. Michonne is a great character, and it's wonderful to explore her past, but it often felt the game didn't have a good sense of direction, and with the game choices being even more limited, useless, and overall no brainers it just wasn't as interesting as previous telltale games. Not to mention all the glitches and awkward animations that kinda ruin immersion. Very skippable, but also short too.
I guess it's okay but keeps the same issue of illusion of choice staple of Telltale games and has a lot of cheap actions cutouts because I guess conversations are boring for TT's target audience, not to mention the same formula from previous TWD games which make this one a little too familiar in narrative structure. Story is okay but I only cared for Sam so there goes that.
It is what it is, a mini series.
It’s not a bad game at all and I ended up enjoying it a lot more after the first hour or so. relatively short so easy to get through.
I would recommend to a fan of the series however don’t hold your expectations up to the standards of the other games or you’ll be sorely disappointed, this is no clementine.

I got this for free and it was a complete waste of time. No tension, no good characters, just people being perpetually miserable and the occasional ZOMBIE ATTACK WOAH!!
You could argue the other games were just like this but they did it better. This is just another spin-off from way after the formula got stale. I liked Michonne's backstory at least.
