I swear beating people with a skateboard and going off the same ramp for an hour was more fun than an actual mission.

Falo com tranquilidade que Skate 3 mudou a forma que eu enxergo jogos de skate.
Como uma pessoa que sempre teve vontade de praticar o esporte, mas nunca teve a iniciativa de começar. Esse jogo me trouxe um pouquinho do que é a sensação real de andar de skate que eu sempre quis sentir. Algo que a série Tony Hawk's Pro Skater nunca entregou.
Enquanto no THPS meu estilo era mais Vert e eu procurava o primeiro half-pipe ou a primeira piscina pra conseguir mais pontos no ar com flips, grabs e manobras de lip. Em Skate 3 eu me descobri um skatista com um estilo mais Street, mais pé no chão e prezando por grinds, manuals e flips em corrimãos, escadas, bancos.
É incrível porque o jogo podia ter zero missões e ainda seria divertido, puramente pelo gameplay. Mas a maioria das missões são boas e acrescentam bastante à experiência do jogo.
Claro que nem tudo são rosas e o jogo deixa a desejar em alguns aspectos. Como os controles, que em alguns momentos podem ser não muito responsivos. Alguns modelos 3D e animações também não envelheceram bem. E na minha opinião, a pior parte do jogo é quando ele tenta ser galhofa e coloca você pra se quebrar, fico surpreso que esse aspecto fez tanto sucesso entre alguns jogadores e youtubers.
Por fim, Skate 3 era um jogo que eu queria jogar faz muito tempo e eu nem esperava muito dele. Mas ele não me decepcionou. É muito, mas MUITO divertido.

Jogo muito divertido até hoje, pena que só é acessível no Xbox Cloud Gaming hoje em dia... Mas não deixa de ser um dos melhores jogos de Skate ja feitos. Fisica muito boa, gameplay gostosa e graficamente bem aceitável. A única coisa que peca um pouco é no quesito trilha sonora, ja que temos poucas música realmente marcantes aqui. Mas não deixa de ser um bom jogo.
really what is a video game? when u think about it? a miserable little pile of secrets. but enough talk. video games are supposed to make you feel like ur the guy in them right. idk bout u guys but i dont wanna be sonic the hedgehog or metal gear guy. all my life i just wanted to be a sick ass skater dude drinkin forties smokin weed goin to little skate jams rippin shit up with the boys. i lack athleticism, a personal problem on my part. i never learned how to skate, and once again this is a personal fault of my own. skate 3 lets me be the guy. I do a lil dickflip when i play this, jump off shit break my bones but yet my guy keeps getting up. all ive ever wanted to do was rip shit up in a suburban neighbourhood and listen to joy division. im also a pussy like im afraid of getting hurt ouchie my head. this game lets me do that. i remember fondly the days when me and the boys would hangout in my garage and because i have adhd or whatever i was constantly playing this while we hung out. i love this game and i love my friends. i would die for both of those things but if u lined my boys up on a wall and said either u kill them or i can never play skate 3 again...

What this game does better than Skate 2: The overall gameplay. This is definitely the most balanced game in the skate series. Sure there are some challenge types I don't really like, but overall there weren't any challenges here that felt unfair. Also, the controls are the best they've ever been in the series, as there is even more to do trick wise in this game. I also want to mention the soundtrack, which is my favorite in the series.
What this game does worse than Skate 2: I kind of feel like Skate 2 had... more personality? I know it's kind of dumb to put this much thought into the story of a game in this series but this game feels really lazy in the department. Skate 2 has an interesting backstory to the world and that made it more fun to explore. The world in this game is good, but it pales in comparison to the city in Skate 2. Also, this game feels much less stable. I know it's cliche to talk about glitches in this game, and for some people they add to the experience, but to me they kind of hurt it.
These aspects of the games mostly even out in terms of quality, but overall, I have to say Skate 2 appealed to me more overall. That is not to say this is a bad game though, it's great! I had a ton of fun with this title and it absolutely blows Skate 1 out of the water. Definitely very glad I played through this and the series in general.

Me and my best friend at the time would play this for hours on end if the weather was too bad for us to skate (or we were too high to attempt to skate). This was quite a few of my teenage summers. What I wouldn't do to go back.

it’s a bit lacking outside of the sandbox, but it’s one of those games where getting from point A to point B is so ridiculously fun that it hardly even matters if there’s nothing else to it
The greatest skate game of all time. I've played this game for probably 10k+ hours and I will never stop playing it. It's simply too good. To me, it's a game that represents my teenage years and it gives me so much nostalgia. It's followed me ever since I was a little brat to now... Where I am a big brat.
I've tried to play Skater XL and Session to try and quench my NEED for a PC port of Skate 3. And yeah, I know that you can emulate it on RPCS3 but I've never gotten it to work even though my PC is decently high-end. And even then, it wouldn't compare to the feeling of booting up my PS3 and playing this game day and freakin' night.
Soundtrack is great, gameplay is masterfully done and somehow holds up so well after more than a decade, and overall I just really love this game. I think it's hard to not find this game a blast, even if it looks and most importantly FEELS kinda dated. I'd recommend it especially if you're a skater irl, because the flow is actually kinda nutty haha. Very realistic but also borderline fantasy ass stunts and stuff. Once again, though, to me it's part of its charm. The only flaw I can think of is that there's no night and day cycle and that, while the city is amazing, Skate 2's map will always be unreachable to me.
I can't wait for Skate 4 (although, seriously guys? skate.? You couldn't have called it Sk4te?) even if I'm afraid that it might not be that good since it'll be Free-To-Play. I guess we'll see!
