This was basically my Tony Hawk as a child. Loved the band Cauterize so much.

This game is quite fun, but I am terrible at it.

This has to be the least memorable early 2000s licensed rock soundtrack ever, I don't remember a single track.

Probably not better than the SSX series for snowboarding representation but as a relatively straightforward racer with challenge modes is very fun and controls well. Certainly better than the barebones N64 version.

decent only played it cause it was a the top of the list on the emulator thingy cause of the name

This is my favorite snowboarding game of all time, still to this day. It's not perfect, by far, courses are way too short, some physics are unrealistic, but the feeling when carving in powdered snow, and your rider slowly gets covered in white, the wild life in the mountain, the nice selection of background music, there's a ton of detail in this game that goes beyond the trick extravaganza that the SSX series is. 1080 Avalanche is doing its best to make you feel like you are living all of it. And yeah the avalanche levels weren't necessary, but how fun are they? I wish Nintendo would resurrect this license someday. Oh man, I wish.

Super straightforward racing-focused snowboarding game. Carving lines optimally is a joy to master, and the unlockable weirdo characters and boards kept me interested in it enought to 100% the whole thing. In the world of loading ROMs and emulating, you ought to give this a try for the low price of entry

I will name my first born son Ricky Winterborn.

This is probably my favorite racing game of all time. It has the best early-2000's charm with its choppy audio design, punk rock songs and the general aesthetic. The gameplay doesn't have as much depth as other racing games I've played but it's still fun to mess around and master, specially when you mess around with other characters and the unlockable boards. The only flaw I was constantly encountering was that steering to sharp turns is hard to pull off and you have to brake in order to make them. The campaign is also too short and could've used more tracks. Overall though, a very good game.

It’s not really bad, but its not something I really ever want to play again either. My criteria for beating this game was just to beat Normal, Hard and Expert Match Modes, but the last challenge for Expert is such BS. I was doing the whole run with Akari but no matter what I did, the avalanche would just consume me and I couldn't see anything within 20 seconds. I resorted to using cheat codes to get to that one mission, but still couldn't beat it. Its whatever though, the gamick of building up a power meter through tricks to knock opponents down is definitely a unique twist, but not really as fun as just gaining speed. I rarely if ever had the opportunity to build up enough meter to knock my enemy down, but thats probably because I suck. Its really cool that Nintendo of North America got to make games like this and Wave Race and I wish they were still able to make this type of stuff. Nintendo doesn't really have anything else like them. But this was released the year before Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, and Nintendo Software Technology has been relegated to that section of hell ever since basically. I like the character designs a-lot, but music could have a little more variety too.

One of my all-time favorite GameCube games. This underrated gem is just such a blast to play through, and all of the unlockables are immensely rewarding. Still, it is lacking in content at times. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this game to anyone with a GameCube. It's pretty cheap these days too, unlike other games on the portable lunchbox.

the ultimate your friend's cool older brother's game

Kinda fun, did not expect that ngl.

Such a dope game! Artsyle and sense of speed were far beyond its time.

I played this this non-stop beating every map record and unlocking every character and board. Thee best snowboarding game.

Feels more like a racer than a trick based snowboarder, and the sense of speed is realistic and weighty. Powder physics and weather effects on the characters is impressive, as are the animations and human movements.

Such an awesome snowboarding game. One of my favorite Gamecube games, it's just always so much fun to play it.

YO THIS IS A HELLA GLOWUP FROM THE N64 ONE. It plays like the original, except with a ton of quality of life improvements and there's now a lot of feedback to the player, which was what the N64 version lacked. However, the game really shines with its spectacle. The courses are varied and all use really fresh and original ideas, and the game doesn't take itself too seriously which allows for really exciting places with wacky setpieces for you to blast through at a hundred miles an hour on a snowboard. Banger.

gonna speedrun this bitch

I got introduce to Cauterize cause of this game and their music is heat. Choke is my JAM

The best snow slide game ever created.
