Not bad. There's a solid core, even if the game never fully comes together outside of Temple Heights and most of Candy's Missions (those "Avoid All Obstacles" missions can update their home to the death barrier). Character picks are fun, and the Kremling OCs are great - wish they existed in more than this. It feels like there's a phantom game after the Kongas/Jungle Beat that should justify this game's existence; the state of Donkey Kong as a franchise in 2007 definitely didn't support a racing spin-off like this. But it's not bad.
Not sure why this game is held in such low regard, its honestly a rather interesting racing game. It's not the greatest thing I've ever played, but it's certainly not horrible. There's a bunch of shoehorned in motion controls so your arms/wrists will really be hurtin once you are done, but other than that its an interesting little racer where you move along a path and crash into things to earn points that you can spend on boosts which you can chain together by crashing into more things. There are some good ideas here that could have been fleshed out a bit more but i guess it is what it is. I'd say if you are interested its worth giving it a try and not to let the constant negative reviews dissuade you from giving it that shot.
This game could've been a below average kart racer, if only it had used any other controller. Shaking the Wiimote and Num-chuks gets old (and tiring) fast, and doesn't work as well as even the DK Bongos would've. A regular controller would be the best option there. The gameplay itself is sloppy and messy, though there are interesting aspects to it, and the tracks look nice enough. Again, it could've been below average but alas.
It's a completely pointless game. It does nothing special at all, the track designs are repetitive, and the music is horribly forgettable. Also it makes my arms hurt after a while. The best thing that came from this game was the Scott the Woz episode, which I'm assuming you've seen if you're checking out this game...
A very below standard "kart racer" that you need to shake the wii mote to move. The tracks might as well all be the same since they are on rails. The character roster is baffling with a lot of DK characters they just ignore. This needed to be on the gamecube with the bongo controllers, but it still would have sucked ass with it anyway.
