You have been downtrodden, you have been abandoned. Now is your time to rise up out of the oppressed; to emerge from the shadows; ignite the thunder of freedom. Now you fight for yourself, for riches, for honor, for the brotherhood.

The A-TEC 2000 is the latest in assault rife technology. Capable of up to 800 hundred rounds of-- training complete. Congratulations operatives.

You join these ranks to uphold the millennium accord. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. Time to lock and load boys. We're fighting with the best now. Let's do this.

Set to abandoned because I got this copy long after the servers shut down (came in a bundle of other games, never heard of it prior), so I can't play it, unfortunately. Maybe one day someone will figure out how to make custom servers to run through RPCS3?

Only got to play one game, every other time I was on it was always "waiting for more players"

MAG had so much potential and got shut down way too soon. Would love to see another attempt at something like this.

Also worth noting that they did the 3 rival team thing a decade before Pokemon Go

remember this? probably not. a decent shooter which was unfortunately dead on arrival due to terrible marketing and there being nothing really special about it beyond having a lot of players in the same match

Can't play it anymore, lol. I just know the commie guerilla faction was always unfairly balanced next to the other two, which was very based.

Cool concept, if you can get online to play it. Maybe my connection was just awful.

My uncle stole our copy of this game then immediately became a stoner.

A highly unique approach to an FPS that struck a balance between grand scale and making the individual player feel powerful. RPG-esque skill trees, modest player customization, and a sort of faction allegiance system gave this game a sense of community and charm that often made its muddy graphics and audio easy to overlook. You felt like part of a squad, a platoon, a company, and a faction, and nowhere was that more clear than when you advanced together towards the final objective.

Rest in peace. Unique way of handling such a large player count and I was happy to just grind the Raven gear and use my revive tool for hours. Glad I got to play this at a time where you could actually fill 256-player lobbies.

This game was very difficult but I had some good memories with it. It took forever for you to get into the main domination game mode or whatever but when you finally did it felt very cool at the time to be part of such a large team game with so many other people. I'm pretty sure it was just a gimmick however, since the giant pool of 256 people were split into 4 smaller battles all happening at the same time. So four different 32 vs 32 groups and you couldn't walk around to the other groups on the other side of the map if I remember correctly.

The main weapons were not very good but the DLC weapons for like $5 were great. Pay to win for sure.

There was a giant patch that completely changed how the game leveling worked I remember. Before the patch, the best way to get the most experience and level quickly was to sit behind the front lines and use your heal spray to heal people who were actually shooting the enemy team for kills. I think a kill was like +10 exp or something but healing a teammate was like +20 exp. Very broken but I have a lot of fond memories playing this with a close friend.

It's honestly a shame that this is now a dead game with all the servers being shut down. I would've enjoyed going back and playing on those maps again.

256 players, dude. The heck is taking everyone else so long?

This is one of the most underrated shooters ever. And personally second on my all time favorite shooters list. People loved to rag on this game and say the player counts were a gimmick. But that chaos made this game feel really unique.
