Clearly not memorable enough for me to remember basically anything about this game

Addicting match 3 game with a Pokémon skin. Very minor Pokémon mechanics are added, like catching the Pokémon you defeat and type effectiveness mattering. The Pokémon are all mono-type in this to simplify things a lot, which ironically can throw you off if you know Pokémon match ups very well because you can forget if a dual type represents one or the other of its types.

Some Pokémon will also have basic effects like becoming stronger if you're at less than half health, but these seem pretty rare, and the only Pokémon that has an effect that really tries to fit the Pokémon itself is Ditto which acts as a wild card.

There are some Pokémon that needs conditions to show up in a stage, but 99% of the time it's as basic as "defeat the previous Pokémon with a high combo and/or in one hit", but sometimes it's something flavourful, like beating Eevee with a fire move to make Flareon spawn. On the other hand sometimes it makes no sense, like needing to defeat certain with their own type to make their evolution spawn (and this isn't like acting as an evolution stone like Eevee since these ones will evolve by level up).

I tried a similar 3-in-a-row puzzle game called Meteos (specifically the Disney version) and didn’t like the gameplay at all. But I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed this one! It’s actually strategic and very satisfying to rack up combos. Gets repetitive though as you continue to play. But a good game to just boot up and play whenever. Super underrated. Might have gotten to addicted to this one lol.

I was so hyped when this came out because I love the Trozei games.

It was fun from what I remember.

the chaining system on this is seriously addictive. according to my stats i've spent 200 hours on this game and my highest chain is 270. underrated

I liked the original Link/Trozei a lot more, but the Pokémon are cute. If you want a good puzzle game look elsewhere

the designs were cute and battling was fun and stuff but I never really found it was engaging enough to finish. but maybe that's just me personally

i fucking bought this with an eshop card one time instead of a virtual console game or some shit

Spending 10 minutes building a 100-string combo against a finneon before doing the same thing to the next pokemon and wondering what youre doing with your life.

Fuck your zodiac sign what random-ass pokemon spinoff do you want to get a new entry

Cheaper than the first one.

At first I got kind of bored because I thought the game was too mechanically simple; there aren't any restrictions on how you can move Pokémon around the board and there isn't much strategy involved in just lining up three of a kind. However, when the game gets a little more difficult later on, it becomes beneficial to try and line up five or six of a kind to launch a scatter attack, hitting multiple enemies at once so you can clear sections quicker and not take as much damage in the build-up to the boss encounters, so that adds an amount of strategy. Additionally, it's really satisfying clearing the board when the Trozei chance activates. Even then the game is still kind of slow though, so it's still a pretty standard match-three type game.
