When I first put together this list of games I wanted to replay at some point, I thought of tossing in Portal 2 as well, I mean, it had been over 10 years (god I'm fucking old...) since I had last played through it. At this point, I must have forgotten how to solve at least a big part of it... right...? RIGHT...?
Well, in the first 2 hours or so I realized that, when it comes to hyperfixations I had in the past, my brain is better at preserving information about them better than I actually thought, because I found myself going from puzzle to puzzle with relative swiftness, with only a couple of them in the late game giving me trouble. So, why did I stay?
Because if there's something I didn't quite remember as well, was the humor being so phenomenal, it's great to see that after all these years, the comedy of this game still stands up to this day. Specially since this time around I caught on some jokes that as a kid pretty much flew over my head, like think about it for a moment, working for someone like Cave Johnson is like talking to a friend that always replies to you with the nerd emoji when you tell them something, the guy was a walking PR nightmare.
To anyone going for their first playthrough, you are in for a delightful experience, and I hope you enjoy solving these amazing puzzles while breathing in the amazing atmosphere of the game... unless you are breathing the asbestos of underground Aperture, in that case... I'm sorry about your lungs lol

Agora aqui no 2, meu amigo!
Video game sequels must be an improvement of everything that the first game did, and Portal 2 is one of the biggest examples of it. It took everything good on the first game and did it even better, at the same time, avoided all the mistakes of its predecessor.
The graphics have aged very well, the textures, the water, the art direction, everything is more beautiful than the previous game. the environments are more varied, you go through the classic test chambers and the gaps between them, seeing how the aperture laboratories work. you will also have moments where you will explore the old aperture facilities and learn more about its history.
The puzzles remain extremely creative and fun, becoming more difficult as the game progresses. They added more mechanics to the game, such as a liquid that increases Chell's jump, another liquid that increases your speed and a type of technology that allows she and objects to float.
the soundtrack in Portal 2 is better and more present, with futuristic electronic music tracks that match perfectly with the game's atmosphere. Just like the first game, this one also has a great song in the end credits.
Now the game has three active characters interacting with you, Wheatley, GLaDOS and Cave Johnson. They are all extremely charismatic and funny. Character interactions add a lot to the game's story.
If the first game was short and suffered from a lack of content, Portal 2 definitely doesn't make the same mistake. The game has a longer, more challenging campaign, as well as a fun multiplayer mode with lots of new stages to complete with a friend.
This game is incredible, one of my favorite games of all time. I definitely recommend it to everyone that likes puzzle games.

This game is definitely a big improvement from Portal. More game mechanics, more characters, more tests, more story, more lore, more humor, more personality, and most definitely more fun. And the execution is on top. The co-op mode is a really good addition to the main game. Replaying this sometime later.
