Puzzle Agent 2 is everything its predecessor did right and more. This delightful, short point-and-click adventure game retains its quirky and charming style, immersing players in a world of mystery. While the graphics may not be perfect, they perfectly complement the small, enigmatic adventure. The puzzles in Puzzle Agent 2 are once again the typical brain teasers you'd find in many puzzle magazines. However, just like before, there are a few instances where information or instructions may not be entirely clear, posing a slight challenge. Most importantly, Puzzle Agent 2 wraps up the story surrounding the disappearance of Isaac Davner and the mystery enveloping the small town of Scoggins. The narrative unfolds through witty dialogues that never fail to bring a smile to your face, thanks to the bumbling nature of Nelson Tethers, our endearing protagonist, and the eccentric characters he encounters along the way. If you're hungry for more, Puzzle Agent 2 is a must-play sequel that effortlessly ties up loose ends while delivering an enjoyable and engaging experience
All puzzles completed, including bonus puzzles (34/34), no wrong answers, no hints used. If you enjoyed the original Puzzle Agent, this sequel offers more of the same, but little more. The puzzle count is increased slightly, but it's a bit of a shame that the game doesn't have much ambition to improve or expand on the original version beyond that. Still, despite one notable example of a very US-centric puzzle, the game retains the enjoyable core from the original.
Like the first Nelson Tethers game, this game is a really well written game with a lot of style, but it continues to be held back by mediocre puzzles. The game still nails everything about the presentation, it really does watch like a fun and goofy supernatural detective mystery thing. But the puzzles, they're not very good! They're repetitive, boring, and not very fun to solve the first time, let alone the third or fourth time. More fun to watch than to play!
Finished this one on the iPhone as oppose to the previous one on the PC. It works better on a mobile platform akin to professor Layton. The puzzles are much easier though. I only got 1 wrong answer the entire game and used hints on only 2 puzzles. The voice acting is great and the story is nice. Worth a play through.
