Despite its short runtime it's surprisingly charming and there are a few things that genuinely gave me the creeps

alguna idea chula, me sobra la segunda sección

It's ok. Rental is a small and cute indie horror game with a cool idea of a dimension-bending house. The game is really short but free and the PS2 style and animal characters are pretty neat. It's nothing really special, although I enjoyed my little time with it.

lo que veian mis polypocket del mcdonalds

did you get click-baited by a tiktok/insta reel...? yes
but honestly not a bad lil game for a game-jam thingy the camera definitely needs work and it definitely would've been scarier with a more creepy sound design in my opinion the game here is never really trying to put up an illusion that you are being watched/followed at all if it wasn't for collecting crosses and the mood lighting this would just be a cute lil game with a bunny on vacation

Cute little short game. Love the aesthetic. Wish it was scarier and longer. Loved the labyrinth, tho I got a bit nauseous.

A short free little game that charmed me very much. played it when it released on steam and 100%

Alquilar un piso true experience

it was pretty cute game with an eerie aura, i really dig the lowpoly art style. I wished it had more lore stuff, but i understand it's a short game bc its from a game jam

i wanted to see the walking down the hallway scene I WAS CATFISH

Earth to Umi?

Ummm... Short and simple but really enjoyable graphics! Was super cute rather than scary. Completed in less than 10 minutes soooo yeah it's pretty short and stuff... YIPPEEEE!! Probably would've enjoyed it more if things were more in depth, but since it was free there's really no reason to complain.

Better than Silent Hill. And cheaper.

I simply can't trust any rental man

i see the vision it was short but cute

it's a jam game for sure. was hoping for a little more horror but the few scares they threw in didn't amount to much. the charming art and okay audio can't save the "walk around and interact with things" nature of it. which isn't inherently a bad nature to have when something interesting happens when you do so! anyway don't listen to me it took me 5 minutes to realize the mirror maze was a mirror maze lol

"im just a help less rental man!"

"Found angry man" and it's a picture of Jesus lmao

Fique em um RBNB, fique numa boa

it's really effective at building its mood. i like the animal-crossing-esque art style mixed with it's very catholic imagery.

Rental is a short 10 minute long free Indie Horror Game that involves some cutesy little animals moving into a new rental house.

The game is very short, and it's alright. It's not that scary, and it really feels to be more a vibe-based game than anything, more concerned about the style and look more than the scares and substance, and that's fine!

The game is totally alright, it's really not anything that special, but for a quick, cutesy horror game you can finish in under 10 minutes, it's pretty good.

Overall: 7/10

A delightfully spooky short horror game that takes a pretty intriguing pitch; what if cutesy animal crossing characters went to silent hill, and really delivers with a deeply unsettling atmosphere. I don't know if there are actually any threats or fail states in this game, but it's so efficient at creating dread that it doesn't really matter, and to me that's the mark of great horror.

Horrible camera angles and controls that actively work against you. Lazy design (I thought mazes fell out of fashion?). Of course, includes some flat meta humour. There is no horror to the game and the weird static bits just don't do anything but slow you down and annoy you. There's nothing to the game, no message, no payoff. Hell, there wasn't even any JUMPSCARE or ANYTHING to slightly make me feel like giving it more than a point for having graphics.

I'm appalled how something like this is so positively received. "Comfy" games and their consequences have been a disaster for indie games.

the horrors persist, but so does bnnuy
