Great game. Saw my friend stream it on twitch and it got me interested in it so I decided to buy it and stream it myself. Great horror game, good scares, good intense atmosphere, glad I bought it and about to play the DLC.

Pure excellence, one of the best horror games, period.
After the embarrassment that Resident Evil 6 was, this game finally brought back the RE saga to its horror roots.
I just don't like how Chris looks in this, not surprised they changed him back in Village.

Overall a scary and entertaining entry in the series. Nothing quite like the exciting first couple of hours wandering around the house carefully, scared to explore but also desperate to find a way out. I don’t think I’ve screamed out loud so many times at a game before.

The first-person perspective is a welcome embrace of the approach popularized by several successful survival horror games in the gap between 6 and 7, and it was a natural way to reset from the heavily action-focused direction the past two entries had taken and bring the series back to its roots - atmospheric dread and horror with a bit of action and camp. Though some of the textures are pretty rough (the forest floors in the area outside the Manor are maybe worse looking than RE4’s similar setting), the graphics overall are beautiful on the new RE Engine. And the characters are intriguing and likeable, even if they’re terrible, crazy people who are trying to kill you. The boss fights are mostly fun (with the second being particularly wild and funny), and the story progression feels good.

I’m excited to play Village now.

End of Zoe.

If you play Resident Evil 7, you need to play this version.

The base game of RE7 was already a strong experience: with a thick atmosphere, decent gameplay, and gripping story. But, Gold Edition takes everything that made the base game good and builds on it beautifully. The different side modes add new story details and character moments that bring closure to the main game and make it better in hindsight. The added gameplay variety is an excellent touch as well; there are a whopping 8 sidemodes added in this package, at least doubling the amount of content from the standard game, and no two modes play alike. I liked every single side mode to some degree, and I can't imagine the game without them.

Re7's DLC package may be among the best in gaming history, and I can't recommend the game without it.

Um ótimo jogo da franquia! O único problema é que os mofados poderiam ter mais variações humanóides mais próximo dos cadáveres mesmo.

Fantastic entry into a series I adore that originally had me taken aback by its change in perspective. After playing this one through i can say solidly it does embody the heart of the series and wears it on its sleeve. Absolute campy joy with a lot of the charm of the series mixed into a great little zombo mystery.

I hate that if you choose to save Zoe in the main story the game is just like "No. Fuck you actually she just fucking dies anyway even though that doesn't make sense, you'll still play as Mia anyway, and in the DLC what you did isn't even canon! and actually you should have done the other option, you fucking idiot."
So then I'm like "Okay" and for the whole Mia part on the boat, I still think I'm Zoe and I'm all confused when it's revealed to be Mia who I last saw like three fucking hours ago on the dock. Why even make it a choice? WHY EVEN HAVE THAT INTERACTION!?

El Residente Malévolo que mas susto da de los que he jugado. Entre la atmósfera roñosa, el diseño de niveles y los sonidos consigue provocar un mal rollo increible. Mis dieses. Buen jueguito.

In VR a truly horrifying experience. The stress can be too much to play. It is visually stunning walking the halls of the mansions. While the later ship area seems to drag on and be unnecessary, the pure fear this game can instill is amazing. The DLC mostly is useless with the End of Zoe being very gimmicky. However, Not a Hero is a fun side thing that feels like a mini-fast paced RE.

Nails atmosphere and setting. Dark, scary, yet creative and imaginative a lot of times. Great pacing, with pauses to make you think about the big moments in the story. Ship at end is boring, and house could’ve had more interesting rooms and puzzles. Enemies are pretty repetitive, same with weapons. Does not really change up. But baker family is great, battles are great. DLC is super great, redfield punches the shit out of molded its great. Adds so much to story and gameplay.

Replay/watch with friend edit: game is not that scary until u play it. Story kinda sucks in terms of plot convenience. Tapes suck. Battles suck. Puzzles and rooms r good tho. Atmosphere good. Ship alright. house is great. much worse on replay bc cutscenes and lot of filler

Played main campaign on PS4 and DLC on PC.

RE7 is a shot in the arm of adrenaline. Goofy, funny and creative. The back half isn't incredible, but when is it ever with RE?

A breath of incredible fresh air to the Resident Evil series, while also keeping the mainstays of the series that made it great to begin with. I am in full support of the new Ethan Winters trilogy, and I hope that Capcom continues this gameplay style for years to come.

Also, I want Joe Baker in more things, because any dude who can punch a monster's head clean off his body is someone you should keep around.
