Robotics;Notes DaSH:

Robotics;Notes being my favorite Science Adventure entry, I was extremely excited to hop into this sequel spin-off... only to be met with some of the most irritating, unlikable, and egregious writing I've forced myself to read.

Daru is built to be an incredibly insufferable main character to experience a story through, constantly making jokes and objectifications at the female cast's expense for the first 50-75% of the story. General weirdo anime pervert BS, you know it when you see it and it's always ALWAYS grating.

Thankfully, the other 25%-50% of the story consisted of some really cool character arcs that stayed true and loyal to the characters in the original R;N. Subaru, Junna, and Akiho's routes served to continue their arcs, and did a really awesome job at questioning and exploring these characters. Nae's route gives us a little bit of her history prior to R;N and serves to bridge the gap between R;N and S;G, allowing Nae to pass the baton from the Lab Members to the Robotics Club.

The very end, though (The Last Phase, or "Itaru's Route") felt very plain and straightforward. Had some cool S;G fanservice tho ig lololol

but yeah in conclusion: Not Great

The final (for now) installment for me in The Sci;Fi Adventure series ends unfortunately with a whimper and not a bang. There are parts of this game I really do like, and it does set itself up for success really early on. The chill awesome cast of Robotics Note, and one of my favorite characters from Steins;Gate Daru? What could possibly go wrong? Unfortunately, they focus on all the worst tendencies of Daru early on, the writing is sloppy and all over the place and very hit or miss the most of the game. The "common" route is perhaps the worst out of any of Sci Fi adventure game yet. Thankfully, Aki's ending and the true ending do some heavy lifting to save this game from being a complete waste of time, and you do get some strong character moments from some fo the other side cast as well.

Techincally this game is a mess. It ran horribly on steam deck with constant crashes and even when switching to laptop I had issues on occasion, and was frustrating enough to make me consider dropping the game at a couple points.

Overall I do think it's worth playing, and clearly has some important stuff to set up for the future of this series, it's just unfortunately the weakest entry in a pretty great series overall. Bring on Anonymous;Code.

For reference my final rankings:

Steins;Gate>Chaos;Child>Robotics;Note>Steins;Gate 0> Chaos;Head> Robotics;Note Dash

when its the climax of your game and im still not invested at all that isnt good LOL

It has technical and narrative issues, but it does things that R;N Elite fails to do.

Easily the most disappointing mainline SciADV game so far due to the story and the technical issues.

I'd say that DaSH is split up into 2 main halves. The first one being god awful and the second being pretty good.
The first half just takes the fun slice of life parts of the first Robotics;Notes and takes it to a whole new retarded level. It's filled with the most cringy pedo fanservice I've ever seen and it's basically just Daru cumming all over the island for 10 hours. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that it takes the most dramatic elements from r;n and just says "fuck you how about I make it funny xd useless filler lmao".
The second half is a lot better though and ranges from on par to much better than the first r;n. It ties up some of the character arcs that were left unresolved and gives a nice conclusion to the somewhat unconclusive ending of the original.

Regarding technical issues, there are unfortunately a lot of them are localisation related.
There are a lot of typos in the game, even more so than the first r;n. Aside from this, there was also a name that wasn't translated at all which was missed when localising since it only appeared for 2 lines. This is 100% the fault of spike chunsoft rushing the localisation. From this interview (https://www.siliconera.com/roboticsnotes-localization-staff-discuss-preparing-elite-and-dash-one-after-another/) you can assume that DaSH's release was really rushed due to the two r;n games being released at once.
These next problems are only for the Switch version, I have no idea if there are similar issues on other platforms.
I experienced a lot of slowdowns where the framerate basically halves while there were 3 characters on screen or during some moments where they were messing around with some camera positions/effects.
Don't worry, I saved the worst issue for last. In the last (best) chapters of the game a character is reintroduced from the first game, but this charater's model's animations were somehow messed up and they were t-posing and nodding their head in a loop for the ENTIRETY of the game. As you might expect this is completely immersion breaking and ruins all moments with them on screen.

Overall, it was an okay experience if you ignore the first half of the game. The game is relatively short (only took 22 hours to beat for me) and this game is definitely not worth its 35 euro/dollar price, definitely wait for it to be on sale.
You should only play this game if you enjoyed the first r;n and would like to see more of the characters and if you can somehow drag your way through the cringe part. This could change in the future though as I will expect that this game will be referenced a lot in future SciADV titles.

8/10: stellar highs (and a few stumbles) in the R;N character writing
0/10: Daru. Just, why are you like this?
Rating: 4/10

I really came to like the Robotics;Notes cast, so another game to flesh them out even more and provide resolutions to the conclusion was right up my alley. Unfortunately, for a solid 80% of the game, Daru's there to indulge in his worst instincts and objectify any and every female he comes across in the most wife guy-ish way possible. I thankfully made it through the game (the conclusion is all right but the homages didn't do anything for me) but only with liberal use of the Force Skip and Log buttons.

Horrible. I played this one after ELITE when I got the switch bundle and it ruined so much of that story. It is mostly filler, with dialogue of what you would expect from filler. Just nonsense side plots about characters that already had their arch in the last game, and worst of all Daru. I hate Daru now. He has a wife and kid, and will not shut up about it, and he’s obsessed with lolis, he will not shut up about how he wants to fuck lolis so help me god. Genuinely the worst game I have ever played.

This was the last SCI ADV game I’ve played, and it really soured me on the series. Hopefully I will regain interest when I play the CHAOS games.

My game kept crashing but pushed through it and enjoyed this game. Pretty good and hopefully this leads into a big crossover with other Sci;Adv games.

Gave it two chances, really loved the original game, massively dissapointed

The best part of dash was when daru said “it’s dashin time!” And dashed all over those guys.

they really didnt do my favourite cast in all of gaming history justice with this game.
its just fanservice with a bit of story at the end that is pretty much the same as robotics;notes.
also had multiple glitches happen throughout the playthrough, including Misa's model stuck t-posing throughout all of it.

My favorite part was when Misa-ne t-posed in order to assert dominance on the rest of the cast.
