In a lifetime of playing weird arcade games, the first time I sat down at a 2049 cabinet and had to enter a pin number with the phone dial to get a ranking to register on the network of systems in the arcade, I remember thinking "this has to be the future." Wrong as fuuuuuuck, but I think the future where homes have arcade cabinets with network upload capabilities is at least a little more fun than this one. Now games just do that with zero flair.
Gamer, as of this post we are nearly halfway to 2049 since the turn of the millennium.
What are you most excited for? Personally, I cannot wait to see jet-propelled cars ramping off the hillside roads in my neighborhood and sprouting wings to do somersault barrel rolls, all while at least one of them constantly hits their horn that plays a WAV file of Peppy Hare. Actually, that sounds abominable. My curmudgeon old ass while never get any sleep, what a bleak future. I'm investing in anti-air cannons as we speak for such a horrendous incoming potential situation.
I will not tolerate illegal street racing with a side of wings, consider me an enemy if you cannot wait for this most terrible disturbance of my peace.

I was super disapointed by this futuristic racing game which was far more work than I anticipated. The idea of being able to pop wings out of a car and fly around sounded rad on its face, but it doesn't really amount to much. It's just a very serious racing game where you gotta be really good to have any fun at all. Not my jam, it turns out!
San Francisco Rush 2049 is pure arcade racing chaos! Tracks twist through a futuristic San Fran, cars have wings for crazy jumps, and the soundtrack is full of thumping electronic beats. While the courses can start to feel repetitive, the stunt and battle modes add loads of extra value. It's one of the N64's iconic racers, and if you love high-octane action over realism, this is a must-play.
