In a lifetime of playing weird arcade games, the first time I sat down at a 2049 cabinet and had to enter a pin number with the phone dial to get a ranking to register on the network of systems in the arcade, I remember thinking "this has to be the future." Wrong as fuuuuuuck, but I think the future where homes have arcade cabinets with network upload capabilities is at least a little more fun than this one. Now games just do that with zero flair.

Gamer, as of this post we are nearly halfway to 2049 since the turn of the millennium.

What are you most excited for? Personally, I cannot wait to see jet-propelled cars ramping off the hillside roads in my neighborhood and sprouting wings to do somersault barrel rolls, all while at least one of them constantly hits their horn that plays a WAV file of Peppy Hare. Actually, that sounds abominable. My curmudgeon old ass while never get any sleep, what a bleak future. I'm investing in anti-air cannons as we speak for such a horrendous incoming potential situation.

I will not tolerate illegal street racing with a side of wings, consider me an enemy if you cannot wait for this most terrible disturbance of my peace.

What if... you held the right trigger... and drifting/turning felt awful... and you can barely see the levels...

BUT /VR/OS THE Y2K AESTHETIC!!! THE AESHTETICCC!!!!

I was super disapointed by this futuristic racing game which was far more work than I anticipated. The idea of being able to pop wings out of a car and fly around sounded rad on its face, but it doesn't really amount to much. It's just a very serious racing game where you gotta be really good to have any fun at all. Not my jam, it turns out!

I have fond memories messing around in the battle arenas

I remember liking this a lot in the arcades at our local mini-golf place but i could NEVER find the console ports to be enjoyable. They control so awkwardly.

San Francisco Rush 2049 is pure arcade racing chaos! Tracks twist through a futuristic San Fran, cars have wings for crazy jumps, and the soundtrack is full of thumping electronic beats. While the courses can start to feel repetitive, the stunt and battle modes add loads of extra value. It's one of the N64's iconic racers, and if you love high-octane action over realism, this is a must-play.

esse jogo e muito divertido, as pistas deles são do caralho.
queria mais jogos com tematicas mais futurista de corrida igual esse.

Absolutely adore this game. The sound effects and music are so nostalgic to me. While the racing is okay for the most part, where San Francisco Rush 2049 really shines is with its incredibly fun stunt and battle modes.

Nice graphics, cool car designs and beautiful urban tracks. Really fun and hard... or maybe I just sucked at it.
