Easily the greatest smash mod of all time, and I'm a big PM/P+ fan. I'm so glad the people behind this project are this passionate, because I never would have expected 64 to get this level of love
Smash 64, now with more characters, balance tweaks, customization, music, and a lot of other shit. Literally one of the greatest hacks of all time, and still being worked on! Only reason I even ding it half a star is just stability is a little rough on some stages.

This is smash 64 but with the content that you'd expect out of later smash games. The roster is significantly increased, the stage variety is HUGE, there's tons of music in the smash 64 soundfont, this game goes hard. Not really fair to compare it to the original game considering the huge time gap between each but if you want to play smash 64 this is the best way to do so. I keep forgetting about this games existence and every couple of months a new update drops that adds like 2 new characters and it's always the hypest thing ever to see what they've added and how they play. If you have an N64 everdrive this is a must play.
my friend posted a picture of his everdrive that he shittily customized to look like a smash remix cartridge that said "as seen on android" in the smash remix discord server and they somehow thought it was a real bootleg and banned both of us
The best way to experience Smash 64. The character, stage, mode, and item additions all transform this game to make it something a lot more complete. I have to commend the development team for the amount of work they put in to not only figure out how to mod this game, but also to ensure the content they added is accurate to the time period the game came out in. If you have a PC that is decent in the slightest, please try this mod out, I promise it will be worth your time.
Greatest Smash 64 mod of all time!
Smash Remix is full of options and new features, making the old Smash Bros. feel fresh again. There are a lot of well-designed stages, the new characters control well (although they feel unbalanced, Giga Bowser, for example). The remixes are good to hear in the Smash soundfont and it all feels very polished, like if Nintendo themselves made it.

The custom stages, content and everything is just so good and everything is here basically that you'd want and like in a Smash game.
I cannot get over how this game appeals to every single crowd of Smash player, the team that worked on this game understands the Smash formula so well it is unbelievable.
You can wavedash on the fucking Nintendo 64, it is the most painful and hand destroying thing I have ever had the ability to do but fuck is it the most rewarding thing to ever pull off.

The post-N64 content is a bigger blight to this game than the anime content is to Smash Flash 2. Even the developers have since regretted it.

Quite a fun hack! It's rare to see hacks for Smash 64, which makes Smash Remix so refreshing to play and clearly, a lot of love and care was put into this one. Idk, I just have a soft spot for Smash 64
