Overall Super Meat Boy has a lot of content packed into this difficult adventure. It’s easy to blaze through the light world, but the better you are, the more content you unlock. I’ve seen people on the fence about getting Meat Boy for various reasons. If you’re not a fan of challenge I would stay far, far away from it. However, if you’re up for the heat, you’ll love the spice of this meat. There are a lot of ups and downs to this game, but I never wanted to give up or go back.
The controls are a little clunky and some levels are super unfair, but it's fun to replay levels for the A+ ranks and the secrets, at least most of the time.
Very challenging, one of my favorite platformers.
I wanted to give this game a serious chance but I was frustrated by it rather quickly. I absolutely see the charm in this game but after about half an hour, I thought I had enough :D I don't feel like picking it up again.

the extras after beating the main game may be a bit too hard for me, maybe i'll go back to complete them someday, but this is such a good difficult platformer. (also i should maybe replay it at some point just to actually listen to the original original soundtrack whoospie)

If you like challenging platformers, this game is a must-play. If you don't, it's safe to skip. Has some banging music loops too. I like the aesthetic of The Rapture and The End. Fuck The Kid warp zone. Fuck Flywrench doubters.

SMB has problems with reading inputs, which may spoil your succesful attempts to beat levels, but otherwise the game is really pleasant and challenging with so much content to see.

I don’t have the patience for this type of game usually. But Super Meat Boy had me perfecting the Fly Guy secret levels for HOURS.

Few games have made me feel the level of pride I felt when I finally beat Super Meat Boy. The platforming in this game is absolutely insane. Every press of the button has to be precise. Your reaction time almost perfect. It leaves no room for error. I died A LOT; again and again. Some levels were worse than others. What feels to me like masochistic game design usually leaves me abandoning a game quite quickly, but I was racing a friend while playing this. The competition kept me committed and I'm glad I stuck with it. I'll always feel accomplished saying I managed to beat Super Meat Boy, and even more so knowing that I won the race against my friend too.
