This game fucked up my Gym Schedule when it dropped

Solid remaster. The physics and controls are not as good as the original gamecube and play station controls / mechanics but that was expected as an entirely different engine was used to make this game. It was nice to get to see and play some of my favorite levels exclusive to monkey ball deluxe (to which I haven’t been able to play in 7-8 years as I didn’t have a ps2 but now that I do I am going to get a copy of deluxe definitely).

if you didnt enjoy this game then you just hate balls

Solid enough remake. I don't like this new artstyle though

Truly the most stressful game to ever exist. Docked a star because it's absolute ass that you have extra for the original soundtrack!

Uses the stages from the good monkey balls games but uses the awful physics from Banana Blitz HD. This game flat out sucks, it's that simple.

yep, it is definitely a remake of monkey balls 1 and 2. Controls differently with a different physics model, and has different visuals and music, obviously. I think for this particular remake they played everything really safe and ended up really pleasing nobody, since the diehard monkey ball fans and speedrunners won't like the different physics and controls, with also not a lot of extra new stuff to keep any new fans interested imo. I think the game still plays perfectly fine, its just it doesn't have much of a soul, I guess. Maybe I am just weird, and you should probably try it out for yourself and see if you can see where im tryin to come from here. I appreciate the sentiments behind this game, but they just made boneless monkey ball

simple gameplay and music goes kinda hard

okay so going back to this game and NOT being a harsh piece of shit, this is actually honestly a really good version of all the levels from 1/2/Deluxe. and hey it let me actually clear Expert and Master in SMB1 and 2 finally

The fact that sega released this game without main game multiplayer still baffles me and immediately elevates the original games over this for me.

It's cool getting the play the levels I could never unlock in the originals and the game looks nice, but the multiplayer is one of the main reasons I bought this game.

lotta little party games as well as the main game, good for sofa multiplayer with friends

Solo me lo pasé por que sale kiryu??

Solo me lo pasé por que sale Kiryu.

It isn’t perfect but it’s the series going back to its roots with a quality remake.

My favorite game of the year. The physics are different, but it doesn't negatively impact the game unless you are bound by nostalgia. (there is also a mod to bring back the old physics)

took them how many tried to remake this game 😭

Much like Mario 3D All Stars, it is a POWERFUL FEELING to play Monkey Ball on a portable device. This game is fantastic. An amazing return to form with Monkey Ball. I hope it sells well so Sega can realize THIS is what people liked about it.

Monkey goes brrrrrrr
Also you can play as Kiryu and that a funny addition to an already super fun game.

I might be the only one who liked Banana Blitz HD more than this, but Banana Mania is still a lovely tribute to old-school Super Monkey Ball. Very featured-packed game that respects the originals nicely.

Bought this since I’m constantly nostalgiac for Super Monkey Ball 2 and it does not hit the same. Stripped of the immensely satisfying physics and engaging story/aesthetic.

Still was fun and worth my purchase to an extent but left me wanting to buy a gamecube rather than play this.

Amazing remake once you get a few mods.

It feels like the physics are worse than the gamecube titles, but this game does have Morgana Persona 5 in it.

It includes Monkey Ball 1 + 2 original stages as well as other stages so there's plenty of content here, including the party games (monkey target goes hard).

Perfectly fine game but nothing amazing.

I had never played a Monkey Ball game before this release, and while I did enjoy the time I spent playing, it didn't capture me like I hoped it would. I might go back someday, but I doubt it. My wife does not play video games, but she played the first world and had a great time with it.

It’s hard improving on perfection especially for a game known for precise controls. Unfortunately things feels slightly off in this remake. Excellent level design, very exciting to see a new generation discover the gameplay popularized by Marble Madness. Would have given it 4.5/5 but the Monkey Target minigame is broken and the cinematics are nonexistent in this remake.
