i played this a lot with my brothers good times

A step down for the series in terms of gameplay, but arguably offers the best modes for a casual experience. That was after all Sakurai's goal with Brawl, so in that regard he succeeded.

Didnt age well but it still was the one that introduced me to smash and all these characters from all different franchises

It's all downhill from here. Random tripping, slow gameplay, a depressing story mode with not a single sense of fun, the beginning of Smash's stray into people-pleasing rosters, and an aesthetic that seems to be catering to edgy teens embarassed about liking Pikachu while all their friends like Kratos instead of embracing its inherent silliness. Oh dios mio. Some fun moveset and stage designs, and a great soundtrack, but when the game surrounding them is so bad, does it matter?

I would argue that Brawl is the second best Smash game (Ultimate being the best, of course). While the core gameplay may not be as refined, it had so much side content on top of the incredible story mode that was included with the main game. I may still suck at the game, but it is still one of my favorites.

just iconic, so many casual hours that taught me all im good at in the new games is spamming attacks with Ike...but i'm really fucking good at that. I remember it had a weird story mode but i liked it enough? not sure if i finished it lol

Você pode não ser um dos melhores da franquia, na verdade deve ser um dos se não o pior mas despertou em mim um amor absurdo

Definitely one of the games I had looked forward to for the longest. Even keeping up with the Smash Bros. Dojo! was a blast as a kid. I met many people by joining communities, going to tournaments for the first time and playing online. This game did more for me as a gamer in general than any other game did, for which I will always be grateful.
Although not being able to be played competitively, it was a still a ton of fun to experience. The Subspace Emissary with its beautiful cutscenes have made me watch it over and over. Truly an immense package and a beautiful celebration of Nintendo history (and beyond!)

The wii remote makes this game feel weird to play but its incredibly fun with friends and the story mode is pretty good. Would recommend

The nostalgia on this one crazy. Best single player hands down. And the days I spent playing this friends vanilla and project M were magical. Super Smash Bros is my favorite game franchise of all time and this is what started it all. Thank you Sakurai. Thank you Etika.

Subspace Emissary has my heart forever

My first ever Smash Bros. game. Sure, in a competitive sense, it struggles. However, in terms of single-player, this game is leagues ahead of anything else in the series. Subspace is such a cool concept that has yet to return in full force.

So, I did the Subspace Emissary... and I messed up. Well, I wouldn't mind doing it all over. Right?

Dare I say the series will never be this good again

Subspace Emissary my beloved

One of my favorite Smash Bros. games in the series! The soundtrack, story, and atmosphere still hit the best!

Smash needs more single player content

The LITERAL first Nintendo game I ever picked up and played. Pretty good

The first Smash I owned and probably the one I played the most. Pretty slow-paced in hindsight, but I really appreciated that this game had more game modes to play with like Events and the Subspace Emissary since I'm not one to just play Smash competitively all the time.

trop bons souvenirs mais je serais pas cap d'y rejouer

This game has a special little place carved in my heart. Even with it's flaws I feel like it has something (subspace) about it no future installment will ever be able to live up to.
