I never thought I would write a review for an exercise game, but here we are.
At the time, I was completely flabbergasted by the fact that video games could encourage daily exercise. And since I had a Wii Balance Board at the time, I gave Wii Fit a chance. However, ironically, I never actively played it since I was already getting exercise by just being outside. So I didn't really need a video game to remind me that daily exercise is good hahaha.
In terms of the game itself, it's... alright. The minigames work well enough to replicate activities, but I personally believe that Wii Sports does a much better job at encouraging exercise WHILE also being fun.
And that's what it really boils down to: Wii Fit is good for a short pastime, not a full dedication.

Wii Fit offers a fun and accessible introduction to home exercise, blending light workouts with engaging minigames. Its innovative use of the Wii Balance Board makes activities like yoga and balance challenges surprisingly enjoyable. However, Wii Fit is less effective as a serious fitness program; it lacks robust customization and in-depth tracking tools. Still, for casual users looking to add a bit of playful activity to their day, Wii Fit can be a worthwhile and motivating experience.
It is difficult to consider this a game because it simply is not. It's a flimsy weight loss mechanism with some visuals - but in its defence the experience of it was truly compelling and new, and I say that as someone who had no need to get fit whatsoever. My mother played this, the only game I ever saw her touch. That is revolutionary and only Nintendo could have pulled it off.
