argghghghgh. really glad i bounced off this as a 15 year old and came back to properly play and beat it now honestly. couldn't possibly have resonated as much as it did for me now back then. good game. really good game. one of my favourites, even.

detective brent halligan might be the worst cop on the planet. in order to get a few coins so you can use a payphone, you have to go to your police station's lab, fill a flask with poison and feed it to a homeless man to steal all the money he has. the game does not offer any suggestion in any way that you might have to do this, but it is literally the only way to progress. it plays this completely straight like this is a normal reasonable thing to do to someone
i got this game on the wii as a birthday present when i was 7 but the disc was fucked up and i could never actually play it. on sale one time i bought it on steam and gave it a go for my poor child self's sake and it's, like, not as awful as it should be? but it's still no good. why would it be
