The most bland Fire Emblem game I've played. Gameplay's the same as other games, but lacks Supports, Weapon Weight, and variety in mission types. All missions boil down to 'Seize', which makes the various maps all blend together. The plot was generic and some characters didn't even have personalities. Game was counter-intuitive as well; forcing you to kill off a number of your own characters to access Gaiden chapters. Its still FE at its core so I'd play it again, but not high on to-do-list.

I got really bored playing this. Marth is only notable because he is the first, not the best.

Criminally underrated by casuals who play on the lower difficulties and get disappointed by the ugly visuals. The game really shines on the higher difficulties, where it offers a really interesting challenge with player units that all have weaknesses to consider and try to play around. You never really have units you can truly consider totally broken with no weak point of any kind, and even though you're on the higher difficulties, it's not a game of who has the better stats at all, you can go in with absolutely shitty units and still win with your own skill and tactics

its like an ugly cocktail of modern and classic fire emblem design ideas

Lo tengo que rejugar pero seguramente aproveches mas el tiempo jugando a otras entregas

My only experience of the Fire Emblem series. It was enjoyable for the most part but didn't leave me wanting more.

I don't use the word mid a lot but it perfectly describes this game. Nothing bad about the game but not much good either.

New Mystery of the emblem is the much better game and takes a lot from this game so play that one instead.

A nice all-around FE game.
Reclassing adds fun depth and can make some funny combinations.
The highest difficulties are very imbalanced and make it a very tight play, sadly.

It was really impressive for it's time.

I remember playing it back in 2013 and it was really good back then so let's hope it aged well (Update. The day is 2022 23 1, I beat it. It aged as well as i said it did back in 2013. History repeats itself.

A remake of a 30 year old game with decent writing and need to get past how "ugly" it looks. Easy to replay on every hard mode due to how fast the game plays. Really enjoyed the maps and the basic class switching. Save points are great.

damn Caeda what the hell did you do to your Wing Spear?

It's hideous. This was the second Fire Emblem game I played, and rather than bringing me into the franchise for good, it pushed me away. The story is terribly uninteresting, but that's because it's a remake of an NES game. At the end of the day it's an okay Fire Emblem game, it's just... I find it so boring.

A remake of the original Fire Emblem, this unfortunately fails to be much fun. The battle animations and maps look terrible and the story is boring (though that isn't surprising considering the original came out in 1990). I am also not a fan of the class switching mechanic here. I'm glad they let new players experience the classic, but it's just not that fun.

A great game held back by a bad artstyle

This is some good ass Fire Emblem. It's kinda ugly though. I miss you Marth.

Ugly. Boring archanea story. Maybe a couple good characters. Fun gameplay.

Yep, this is definitely an NES game remade on the DS.

A well refined and excellent gameplay experience and THE definitive way to experience the first Fire Emblem game. Easy on lower difficulties but one of the most fun challenges on the higher difficulties.

A less than perfect Fire Emblem game that is more accessible to JRPG virgins. It also has a reclassing feature that's underrated and the visuals are appealing.

this game is cool but it is uglier than sin

I dunno what the developer's idea was to make a remake and not actually "remake" anything important besides the graphics.

this one is actually fun to play so its a high point of the series
