IDK, have to play again, but, God of War at general always was my favorite franchise, the payback here is really great, and the boss battles continues epics as fuck, a great gift for all the fans.

God of War 2 with a fresher coat of paint. It's pretty easy to just square square triangle your way through the game but the system actually has a lot to offer if you explore it a bit. It is still laden with QTE's as God of War is wont to do. And the plot is almost parody at this point with how much it is STILL trying to paint Kratos as anything sympathetic.
Electric and engaging. Remaster still holds up. Iconic boss battles.

The real hope was the people Kratos killed along the way.
I suppose it's fitting that this is a hack-n-slash, because making quick-time events a cornerstone of your gameplay is the hackiest shit of all time. Also deducting a full star for the cringe-as-fuck sex minigame.

Wasn’t expecting much from this game but to be honest, it was a blast from start to finish. The epic display of sheer brutality is absolutely wild. The scale of every area, boss and combat encounter is something to marvel at. Technically and visually this game is fantastic, lighting, character models and area design still hold up in 2021. The combat is really fun too, there is a wide variety of weapons and abilities to use. The upgrade system is kinda whatever but the general combat loop is engaging enough to where it doesn’t really bother me. The highlights of the game are definitely the boss fights and each of them ends with a cinematically gory kill and a QTE. Very cool stuff, the ost isnt bad either.
I've Only Played The Re-make On PS4. And When I played this game, I was stunned. I Don't Thinks its better but is fantastic.

A fitting end(or so we all thought at the time) for Kratos' story, that ties the entire series together in an extremely satisfying(and gory) fashion. Couldn't ask for more.

Semi-isometric action hack and slash has gone the way of the dodo. It just......it doesnt work anymore. This is a high tier one of those games though
