Very kind of IO to roll all of Hitman 1, 2 and 3's base game content into one package without needing DLC.

It's still Hitman. In other words, it's still good.

The culmination of a trilogy of outstanding games, years of updates, and content releases all packed into one game. The amount of quality content on offer in World of Assassination is remarkable and it is all really great. On top of the already existing content, Freelancer is a challenging but fun roguelike gamemode that is surprisingly well thought-out. This trilogy has provided me with some of my most favorite gaming memories in nearly the last decade. HITMAN is very fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who has been at all interested in checking one of the games out. If you enjoy this kind of game then it will no doubt be a great time.

omg i can't believe i binge played this game in 3 days LOL

this series is so much fun!! i love the freedom you have with this game. there's sooooooo many ways you can assassinate your targets and none of them are wrong! specifically the stealth in hitman is just simply great. defos the best in viddy games by far, it's sm fun!
i got suit only, silent assassin on hokkaido and train so i'm like sorta a big deal i think...

i haven't played much of freelancer or done an elusive target, at the time of this review, but the videos i've watched (...) made these gamemodes all look super fun too!

this will defos be a game i return to even though i completed it, which is rare for me when it comes to games. hitman trilogy just fucking slays!

favorite locations:
hokkaido, miami, whittleton creek, isle of sgàil, and literally every season 3 location LOL

least favs............
COLORADO COLORADO COLORADO COLORADO COLORADO COL-

EDIT: WHERE ARE 47'S GLOVES!!!! HE EARS GLOVES IN ALL THE PROMO AND CUTSCENES HE NEEDS GLOVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's brilliant to finally have all three games consolidated, and with a brand new rogue-like mode to boot! I'm very jealous of new players who will just be getting into Hitman now! This feels like the version of the game that IOI always wanted to release.

Props to the devs for giving 47 the most dogshit, cheugy taste in wall art. It suits him ♡

Spent hundreds of hours across several platforms playing it. Simply put, one of the greatest games of all time.

This review is more for Hitman as a Trilogy rather than Hitman 3 as an individual game. I played the original Hitman 2016 way back in the day when I first got my first real gaming rig. It didn't really click with me then and I struggled to find the enjoyment in it past completing the mission objectives (with the quest markers turned on). So, despite being a huge fan of Immersive Sims like Dishonored I kinda ignored Hitman 2 and Hitman 3 past watching some youtubers do goofy stuff in the games.

This christmas I finally decided to pull the trigger and acquire Hitman 3 (and all the content that came before it) so I could do one big run through the main campaign. I fell in love pretty quick. My (currently 54) hours were split between the Steam Deck and my Gaming PC. I have enjoyed nearly all of them. Between finishing the Mission Stories, which are kind of like guided quests that act as tutorials, or experimenting with the best methods to get SASO (Silent Assassin Suit Only) this game is on par with other Immersive Sims in my book. IMO it offers one of the most accessible and easy to "get into" IMMSIM experiences. Not only do you as a player have nearly complete freedom in how you complete your objectives the devs actively encourage players to get creative with challenges, achievements, and bonus xp for "stealthy but creative" kills. This leads to incredibly satisfying moments like waiting in a box for a character to stand near a cliffside so you can use an explosive to ragdoll them off the cliff and kill them or lining up the perfect sniper shot on a target and just waiting for your target to walk into your crosshairs.

If you are personally a fan of modern day CIA/MI6 "spy" thrillers this game is as close as you can get without turning into a mindless 3rd person shooter. It can sure be a mindless 3rd person shooter if you want it to be as the difficulty on professional isn't really enough to prevent you from just killing every character on the map. But that is not the goal of the game nor should it be the goal of the player on their first play-through. This game is designed to emphasize creativity and on your feet thinking.

Unfortunately of course a few things hold it back. The story didn't click with me at all, some maps are far worse than others, sometimes the game has difficulty spikes that feel really sudden and can frustrate you if you aren't mindlessly following the mission objectives layed out for you. My personal biggest gripe is in the way the mission objectives are set up to work with the HUD turned off for them. I got about halfway through the first game on this playthrough before I couldn't handle having them turned off anymore. Many of them are lacking context or direction due to them obviously being designed with a quest marker in mind. Some of them are the opposite and those I cherish. But the rest of them just get frustrating and can easily become marathon sprints in circles around the map looking for one character/objective that was mentioned as "by the garden" or a similar broad description. In addition to this this game suffers from the same issue any game that has a "detective vision" does. It kind of encourages you to play the entire game through the lens of detective vision. Characters are near impossible to hear through walls, many quest objectives blend into the environment and require detective vision to highlight them, and the all seeing enforcers don't have their enforcer dot show up through walls unless you are using detective vision. It really hinders observing the environment and I wish that there was an easy way for devs to implement detective vision without it being this all seeing eye of sauron.

All in all though even with its flaws I genuinely love this game. I never thought I would after my first attempt to play it way back when. But IO Interactive really smashed the ball out of the park. Here is to many more hours enjoying the new "freelancer" mode where the systems of this game truly put you to the test.

I've been a fan of the hitman series for a few years now, particularly the recent world of assassination trilogy. As someone who's put many hours into each entry, putting all three of these games in one package, along with a fantastic new rougelike mode makes for one of the most content-rich, fun, and polished games of all time. It's truly excellent.

new hitman trilogy but not a nightmare to navigate when you want to purchase it + a fun little roguelike mode that's well done and makes an already absurdly replayable game even more replayable! not much more you can ask for, if you like stealth games this is the best value you can get bar none.

One full run completed. owned on Epic

Although I had already played all three Hitman games, rating this as a whole now that it's unified and I've spent a whole bunch of hours on Freelancer seems fair.

Hitman: World of Assassination is, simply put, one of the best sandbox games ever created. There are so many possibilities, variables and options that it can keep you busy for hours. And the new Freelancer mode is super fun and the icing on an already exquisite cake.

If you want to spend hours upon hours in a game, don't look much further. This is an outstanding choice.

First Hitman game I've ever played and I was surprised by how good the story was. The level design is also phenomenal.

possibly the best game i've ever played
the soundtrack is the best i've heard and the story is amazing

There is no game that does Social Stealth as good as Hitman and this is Hitman at its peak.

besides the maps and missions from the dlcs its a good game

7 years later and the vision has finally come to fruition. Unfortunately bad communication & AAA publisher bullshit stopped this from being a true revolution in game distribution - What telltale began in episodic gaming should have evolved due to IO's efforts, rather than Telltale killing the format with the Walking Dead. Oh well, what matters is this game is finally available in the form it always one day intended to be and it's a must play. Physical release when?

I got silent assassin , suit only on like 5 maps so im basically the worlds best gamer

The new Freelancer mode does not fuck around. I love it.

O modo freelancer é muito criativo e imersivo, mas dificil pra carai

fun as fuck, you can kill someone with a fucking hippo

but seriously its pretty good

the quintessential hitman experience complete with roguelike mode for replayability after you complete all the stages from the campaign and get bored of doing challenges and story missions. If you like hitman, you will like this game

Drie prachtige spellen gebundeld in één groot spel.

Hitman stands in its own category of sandbox, give me more games that play like this please.

One of the greatest trilogies in gaming, so much replayability and some superb levels.

S-tier replayability and level design, so many missions to complete and challenges to chase; probably one of my favorite games ever, and I'd never have guessed prior to playing.

A great addition to the Hitman Series

No game does stealth like the Hitman games.

Literally the most fun stealth game series out there, letting you hide in plain sight and do missions in your way. The new trilogy features a great first, an even greater second and a lackluster third entry, which combined, create a rather enjoyable experience for those who want to play this game as a whole package.
