Hololive fan games are generally impressive to me. No matter what the game is, there's always someone talented behind the helm. And the passion the devs have can always be felt. And that sentiment very much applies here. Idol Showdown for what it is, is a pretty good game from a team of passionate devs.
In general the game is a pretty fun, easy to learn fighting game. I do feel like it could be just a tad tighter, but in general it feels perfectly fine. The art is pretty good. Music is good. And I really appreciate the Virtual Frontier mode as a Holo fan. I love recognizing all the jokes, and piecing together who the items belong to. My only major complaint is again, I think the game could just feel better than it does. And I also don't like how the arcade mode has no continue option. I don't see any reason why that can't be there. Not having it there makes the arcade mode less fun. I also think some more little touches could used such as victory animations, maybe some unique win art, pre battle interactions. But again those are just little touches. Asides from that good game from a small team. Though one I admit has limited appeal.

I know about Vtubers, but don't really care for them. I like fighting games and this one is great. Movement looks a bit weird, but everything else is fantastic. Apparently its not balanced, but who cares, its fun. I like playing as Sora and she's hard and I don't really fully understand her, but she just feels right. Game is super fun and easy for newcomers compared to a lot of other fighting games.
For a free indie fighter it's pretty good and the devs clearly care about the bee tubers, it has really good sprites and it's easy to pick up and play.
I won't stick with it since i didn't really vibe much with the mechanics or characters (as a grappler enjoyer launch Coco was a trainwreck of a character) but it's fun enough to fuck around with friends for a while.

Genuinely a pretty well put together fighting game considering it is a free fan project. There's the usual training, versus, and arcade, and online modes, as well as a Virtual Frontier mode which is reminiscent of BlazBlue's Abyss Mode. You fight different characters with different modifiers as your health bar carries over between matches, and look for places to rest or acquire new items to help you along the way. It's pretty unforgiving and definitely the main draw of the game for me.
There's currently 8 characters to choose from with a number of assists and they all have a unique style. The big detractor here for me is that movement/animations don't feel amazing and it overall ends up feeling a little wonky. Still, I cannot deny the effort that was put into it and I hope the developers continue to work on and improve it!
