Don't care what the lamestream media says, I just want to stunlock my friends with Korone's chainsaw

beat the arcade mode a couple times, played a bit online. it's good! simple combo loops that you can easily build on with some experimentation. super easy to get into, and it's free.

I hope they add gura to the game and she plays exactly like may from guilty gear strive that would be pretty funny

Melty Blood community got some competition now

Hololive fan games are generally impressive to me. No matter what the game is, there's always someone talented behind the helm. And the passion the devs have can always be felt. And that sentiment very much applies here. Idol Showdown for what it is, is a pretty good game from a team of passionate devs.
In general the game is a pretty fun, easy to learn fighting game. I do feel like it could be just a tad tighter, but in general it feels perfectly fine. The art is pretty good. Music is good. And I really appreciate the Virtual Frontier mode as a Holo fan. I love recognizing all the jokes, and piecing together who the items belong to. My only major complaint is again, I think the game could just feel better than it does. And I also don't like how the arcade mode has no continue option. I don't see any reason why that can't be there. Not having it there makes the arcade mode less fun. I also think some more little touches could used such as victory animations, maybe some unique win art, pre battle interactions. But again those are just little touches. Asides from that good game from a small team. Though one I admit has limited appeal.

Better than it has any right to be

I know about Vtubers, but don't really care for them. I like fighting games and this one is great. Movement looks a bit weird, but everything else is fantastic. Apparently its not balanced, but who cares, its fun. I like playing as Sora and she's hard and I don't really fully understand her, but she just feels right. Game is super fun and easy for newcomers compared to a lot of other fighting games.

Solid fighting game, I had some good time with some friends. Ik that there are a lot of better games but this is actually pretty decent, also it's free and it's an actual fighting game not like multiversus lmao.

For a free indie fighter it's pretty good and the devs clearly care about the bee tubers, it has really good sprites and it's easy to pick up and play.

I won't stick with it since i didn't really vibe much with the mechanics or characters (as a grappler enjoyer launch Coco was a trainwreck of a character) but it's fun enough to fuck around with friends for a while.

It's a fun little game and I honestly hope to see more of it. Maybe it could get some more "official" support somehow at some point. It's still being developed as far as I know.

"kusoge" "kamige" bro i think these girls are just ge

how does holocure have a 3.9 on this site when this has a 2.7 and both scores are due to being the exact same level of passion project on the exact same vtuber shit, is it just fgc stuff or am I missing smth

I am a big Hololive fan to be fair so there is bias. It is a true love letter to any Holo fans and is made with balance and competitive play in mind. Simple motion inputs make the learning curve not to high and contains a shockingly good soundtrack. The fact that its free makes it all the better.

No characters, graphics are mid-trash, the gameplay is boring asf and not accurate.

Pretty fun, wish they add more HoloMems eventually!

there's no reason for this game to actually be this good and i don't even like vtubers

Genuinely a pretty well put together fighting game considering it is a free fan project. There's the usual training, versus, and arcade, and online modes, as well as a Virtual Frontier mode which is reminiscent of BlazBlue's Abyss Mode. You fight different characters with different modifiers as your health bar carries over between matches, and look for places to rest or acquire new items to help you along the way. It's pretty unforgiving and definitely the main draw of the game for me.

There's currently 8 characters to choose from with a number of assists and they all have a unique style. The big detractor here for me is that movement/animations don't feel amazing and it overall ends up feeling a little wonky. Still, I cannot deny the effort that was put into it and I hope the developers continue to work on and improve it!

The fighting game of all time

Eu espero que isso tenha sido proveitoso e engraçado pra quem é fã das meninas.

(Disclaimer: am filthy casual)
This seems like a solid fighting game and obviously all the nods to Hololive are a plus, thing is though every character feels almost too quirky to the point that it gets a little difficult to tell what's going on at times
