This is one of the games that brought my closest friend group together thanks to DS download play. One of the default decks had Kenshiro, who we just called Kickman at the time cause his aerial attack was a flurry of kicks that spiked people off the soft platform in Hidden Leaf Village, the only stage you cold play on in download play. This lead to an uncountable number of cheap easy kills and all the matches turned into a race of who could kick people off the stage first but it was pretty funny. Eventually we all downloaded the full game and whoa holy shit there are like a gajillion more fucking characters yeah this games awesome.
Severely underrated, imo. Unfortunately, that might be because of it not receiving an official localization.
It has an incredibly creative koma system, which I really enjoyed. Beautiful sprite work and wonderful music; overall, it's a really fun Smash Bros party fighter with your favorite Shonen Jump characters.

Heavily underrated fighting game, the Koma system is absolutely brilliant and a great way to utilize both Shounen Jump comics and the DS touch screen in a fighting game. It allows for so many different builds allowing you to make your own team. There's a ton of characters and variations of them and the music is absolutely fantastic there is so much goodness here and it's a crime a third game was never made.

Jump Force, this is the way you successfully do a game like that. Why can't the newer titles have a power/progression system like this with manga panels, or worlds that are actually in the tiles (instead of the real world). Objectives in fights to unlock stuff instead of the same braindead fighting mission over and over. Why can't they have a bigger selection of titles to choose characters from like this? Minor characters in assist moves, smash like battles etc.
A big budget game in this fashion i'm sure would do much better than what jump force is now.
