One of the most entertaining and exhilarating gaming experiences I've had. This game is like Rocky, and not just because its boxing. Its about going the distance and testing your skills and reflexes. Its so fucking good. Elder God tier game.

its a boxing game thats actually a puzzle game in disguise

heck, it is so satisfying to finally beat a game you never got around to beating, right? anyway i remember getting this for the nes and being astonished at how "realistic" the graphics were. really goes to show you how far things have come. the gameplay is still incredibly fun even today. this holds up in basically every way except for the truly awful racist/nationalist stereotyping of all the boxers.

Surprisingly underrated in the NES library from what I've seen. Probably my favorite NES game next to Mega Man 2.

A surprising gem for the NES. The Wii version pretty much does this game better in every regard, but it's still a fun game by itself and worth playing for the history alone.

I suck at this game but I love it so much.

A game that can be really hard and frustrating to get into. It's very pattern-based, and fast reflexes help an awful lot. Fights that seem very daunting can very quickly become a piece of cake after a little trial and error. It's REAL annoying when you make it far, run out of lives, then have to do a bunch of fights all over again, but it is satisfying to succeed.

fun punching game. hard as fuck though especially considering the timing is screwed up on anything but original hardware
