literally the best game of all time

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is an epic adventure that blends familiar Zelda staples with a darker, more mature atmosphere. You'll explore vast dungeons, solve clever puzzles, and transform into a wolf to unlock unique abilities. The story is gripping, Midna is a standout companion, and the boss battles are thrilling. However, occasional slow pacing and some motion control gimmicks can slightly detract from the otherwise stellar experience.

my hot take: getting the fish for the cat so you can unlock the slingshot in the beginning is actually fun and not tedious at all

Not as good as the three 3D Zeldas that came before it, but still a good game in its own right. Gets a lot of flak (some deserved) for its pacing, especially at the beginning, and the fact that it introduces a couple very cool items - the Spinner, the Ball and Chain - that are woefully underused. Definitely a harbinger of Zelda struggling to find its way in the 3D era until BoTW came out.

A game almost certainly made in response to the very negative reaction people had to the reveal of Wind Waker. Here you go, everyone, here's the brown, mature Zelda you were asking for. More Ocarina of Time! A very derivative Zelda game built around the reverence for OoT. It's still a fun game, but it's just not that great either. The spinner is a very cool dungeon item that does not get nearly enough use. Some of the dungeons and boss fights are pretty inventive, though.

For as much complaining there was back then that Wind Waker was a baby game for babies... Twilight Princess's difficulty sure does feel like it was tuned with babies in mind. The final boss only does a half heart of damage with every hit. The only way you are dying in this game is if you are doing a 3 heart challenge run and you happen to be wearing the Zora armor when you get shot by a Bokoblin's fire arrow.

Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game and I love that game immensely.

Twilight Princess feels like a fantastic OoT successor that hits the mark harder than any other 3D Zelda. I love this game with all my heart.

"Go and do not falter, my child!" - The Hero's Shade, formerly known as the Hero of Time.

My first exposure to Zelda has left quite an impact on me hasn't it? Sorry Midna, but I didn't buy this game just for you....okay maybe a little bit. This spiritual successor to the N64 games is one I remember quite fondly. Channeling Link's inner furry was a fun twist I could get behind as well!

I'll get to the point, while this game has some issues with pacing and story it is still a good game with some great moments sprinkled in.

I love the atmosphere of this game, it almost feels like it came out of a Grimm brothers fairytale, which also shines through in its story. For the most part, the story of this game is engaging, thrilling, mysterious, and wonderous and it kept me entranced until the very end. The gameplay was also fun to me, both Wolf form and Human form. While the wolf was more simplistic to fight with it was still a fun time, and human form is the same old Zelda gameplay that is great to mess around with.

With all that said, this is not a perfect game. The combat is fun for the wolf but at certain points, it can get very repetitive and boring. For human combat, I felt that a sizable amount of the items and sub-weapons we got were not utilized anywhere other than the dungeon it was made for (like the Spinning Top). The story seems to falter near the end with Zant especially being a letdown of a villain, and some moments are just padded out for no good reason.

Despite that, this is still a fun game and was easily the best launch title the Wii could have. If you haven't tried it out before and you like this series of games I would give it a shot.

Wolf areas kinda suck but motion aiming changed my life

I must admit, this was the first game I ever played that was designed for an (relatively) older audience. It changed the way I understood media and even the concept of fiction as a whole.

Before I played this game, the only entry in the series I had played was the original The Legend of Zelda. As a child, I enjoyed the experience, but much preferred the exciting zaniness of Mario Galaxy. When I picked up Twilight Princess, primarily for the chance at picking up a darker video game, I was astounded. The scale of this world and the stakes of its stories, combined with enjoyable characters, culminated in an experience that I did not know was possible. I was hooked, not just to Zelda, or to video games, but any and all forms of art.

As an adult, I understand this game is not perfect. It suffers especially from a rough beginning and repeated tutorialization. But I still hold this as the definitive Zelda experience. Some of the best dungeons, characters, bosses, and items in franchise history. A story that is not nearly as dark as it sometimes wishes to be, but still endearing enough to be enjoyed by all ages. Not too mention a fantastic score who's only rival to date is Skyward Sword's powerful orchestra.

I will never tire of watching Link and Epona ride through a sun-soaked Hyrule Field.

toisteks paras zelda peli ei edes lähel siis tää on niin hiton hyvä rakastan tätä

Best zelda game. It's just so good!

Every Zelda games has it's pros and cons. Some say to prefer the vast landscapes of the Great Plateau in BOTW, other sprefer the classic esistentialism of Majora's Mask, and other funky fans prefer the dress up in Triforce Heroes....

For me Twilight Princess will always have a place in my heart. It may be it's more linear way to explore the world compared to titles like OoT or Wind Waker. It may be the incredible selection of dungeons: each unique and creative with their environmental puzzles and storytelling (Snowpeak Ruins, my beloved). It may be the incredible arsenal of weapons, which alongside the Wolf transformation create a enticing combat.

It may be the cool lineup of bosses, enemies and NPCs, which gives so much life to a world that is literally set up in darkness. Or, it may be the fact it features one of the best arcs for a side character in the series, with a tory that doesn't shy away from darker tones while also feeling whimsical and never boring.

I love Twilight Princess: many will not consider it the best The Legend of Zelda game... but it's without a doubt my favorite. Totally worth checking it out.

I thought the game was over when collecting the three moonlight shards and was pleasantly surprised to find that the game was only just beginning <3
