It's pretty fun but definitely not worth the price, even with all the additional content added since launch. I mean, if you wanna buy the rest of the levels I'm not gonna stop you but the chances of a sale on Super Mario Run are next to zero.
Plus, I bought this back when I was an Android user, but I've since made the switch to iOS and would need to buy the game again to get all of its content back on my current phone... no thanks. It's a good thing Android emulation exists, am I right?

well, after getting the complete shit and playing for a month for the 100%. Its not that bad, its pretty fun to play and the news modes are chill. But I wish it wasnt a Pay to play game cause $11 for the full game is not that worth tbh. $5 max, not fucking 11 bucks. Anyway, its fun, but not that good
I play this to farm Nintendo silver coins when I need the limited-time avatars. Beside that it's a masked New Super Mario Bros. limited behind a pay-wall with some challenging mode that will make you play against some ghosts.
The main game is very short and not really worth all that money at all. Half of it and you may consider it only if you're hardcore Mario fans.
Strangely enough I don't think it can be considered a gacha. But surely a live service phone game, so we are not much far away.

My entire childhood I dreamed of playing Mario on mobile, it seemed like such a no-brainer. Mario was perfectly suited for a "pick up and play" style as has been proven time and time again by it's huge success on handheld devices. What better way to experience it then than on the most universally accessable and portable form factor, the smart phone?
I'm still waiting for that game though because Super Mario Run fails miserably at all that. It's a watered down, micro-transaction heavy auto runner that strips back a beloved platformer into something that's not worth your time of day, let alone the cost that the majority of the content is locked behind. As usual Nintendo shows that their only goal in the mobile market is greed, however this is one of the worst offenders.
