Started playing on MAR10 Day and it was fun for a few days, but I quickly stopped playing. But two days ago, my tablet screen started randomly going black after only a few mins of use, and it only stopped after I uninstalled Mario Run. It's like Mario was mad that I abandoned his game. It felt like I was living the opening chapter of one of those crappy video game creepypastas
I like the game, but I feel like it's only for trying it out for a few hours or maybe playing it on public transport if you don't have a book or a better game. It's curious for being the first Mario mobile game, and for free, but that's about it. Despite everything, playing it for a while has helped me to get more Nintendo Switch Online rewards. There are just so many better options when it comes to Mario.
There's really not much for me to say about this game. It's not terrible, but it's also not really fun. The controls are incredibly simple, and the platforming has little to no depth, which makes the overall experience mind-numbingly boring. They want you to pay for more levels after you beat the 1st world, but after constantly tapping my thumb on the screen like a drone, I think I've had my fill of boring jumping. This game's only saving grace is that it has Princess Daisy (god bless) as a playable character, but you gotta go through a shitty marathon to unlock her.
It was fun... until I beat the game, got princess daisy, beat the secret world, and decorated my kingdom until I had nothing left.... really there's not much going on for this game. Especially since you have to play it with internet! Like what the fuck? I wanna play Mario on the run without wasting my data!
Pretty cool until you realise you have to pay for any World beyond the first one, which I'm not willing to do. Honestly the movement is good considering it's a mobile game and looks like you're just playing New Super Mario Bros with auto-run on, just needed to make all the levels free and could've been better. And it's weird how this is considered a mainline Mario game.
