When I first played through this game on PS2, I loved it. It was an adventure through vivid and memorable locations with beloved characters, lots of funny in-game gags and feature-level cutscenes. For years I cherished memories of that playthrough.

Playing it now though, I don't know what changed, but I can't stomach this gameplay. Every platforming section and every boss battle feels like a chore to play. The AI is dumb, but the game often requires you to rely on it, almost like the game was designed for co-op, which I don't think it has (?). The level design isn't very intuitive, I got lost a few times, and the platforming often requires precision that the controls are seemingly not designed for.

In addition, the PSP version specifically has a horrendous camera, and the graphics are so compressed that it just looks ugly. If you've never played this game, for the love of God avoid the PSP version. I decided not to take these flaws into account when rating the game. In fact, I can't be sure, maybe I would enjoy the game again if I play the PS2 or PS3 version. But, at least according to my memory, other than the camera controls, the gameplay here is identical.

The presentation (again, not in the PSP version) and the story are still great though. This isn't the golden age of the Simpsons, but I would consider it the silver age. And while episodes of the show at the time were starting to become mediocre, you can tell they put more effort and resources into this game and the movie that came out around the same time.

Y'all have a fair rating. Game design is pretty basic and a bit repetitive. But the length is very justifiably short. Really adorable that the x360 box art is the only one where Homer is happy implying it's the definitive release as every other version has him getting screwed over. Humour is great. The plot is fairly original and had some great satire on the medium. On a whole the game uses its script in a effective manner. All the voice cast are great. Fair amount of levels and collectibles. The cliches are funny. It's a solid time if just unfortunately very mundane to actual play. But everything around the gameplay is charming

Sonic 2006 is unintentionally much funnier than this.

The Simpsons Game >> Simpsons Hit & Run.

Criar uma lista de clichês in-game não lhe faz escapar das criticas por usar clichês.

Really good game with a great story. Homer Simpson is just like me (a big fat pig)

Why on earth is there a keyblade in this?

if you are a young simpsons fan in 2007 this is basically exactly what your kid brain would think it wants in a simpsons game on the 360. doesn't hold a candle to hit & run though

Maybe as good as Hit & Run I'm not sure...

este juego de chiquita me daba mucha risa lo quiero volver a jugar

Better than Hit and Run, and also one of the funniest comedy games ever. This is MAJORLY slept on.

[emulated for PS3 on Steam Deck, where it runs perfectly with only minor, rare graphical issues. A controller disconnected error will pop up at first launch, but you can fix it via a patch]

this game is a simpsons game

So good got stuck on a level, stopped playing, and eventually sold my WII, might need to pick it back up

Me gusta mas que el hit and run

id say this and Simpsons hitnrun are the best Simpsons game this with superpowers and references hitnrun.. gta but more kid friendly

los simpsons version PS3 >>>>>> Hit Runs 😴

its a really ridiculous game but its a huge piece of nostalgia and i loved it as a child. also completed it like 5 times at least

Its not Hit-and-Run, not by a longshot. Still a great game though.

Introduced me to Scorpions and Rock you like a Hurricane. So there's something

Got to the second to last level, and then for some unknown reason the disk decided to brick itself and not let me get past the main menu without a "scratched disk" warning pop up.

ggs The Simpsons

I don't have much to say. It's a very generic platformer/beat-em-up but Simpsons themed. It's still no Hit n' Run, but the humor is pretty good, definitely reminiscent of the golden age of Seasons 15-20.

It was a good ride while it lasted. Come on, kids, let's go home.

This is the simpsons game I played as a kid. Still remember going for 100% and actually doing all the time attacks.

Game is still fun and has some funny cutscenes. It's cool being able to run around springfield (although the rag dolling in hit and run is funnier).

I wanna try speedrunning it cause it looks fun to break

Definitely for Simpsons fans (which I am not). The controls and camera (likely the Wii version's fault) were the biggest issue because of how unbelievably clunky they were. It's unfortunate because it made some of the levels just unfun. At least the experience was kind of memorable though. Some levels were pretty fun like when you fight the giant in the city, and battling God in Dance Dance Revolution is a huge plus. Not terrible, but not very good either.

It was good enough for what it was. Not as good as Hit & Run but still some solid hours of fun, I loved walkin´ through Springfield an collecting all of the collectibles

It's ok, had fun playing with my wife.

Great game, full of references and winks. This game is better than the last 10 seasons of the series.
