i loved dying light so me and my bf pre-ordered this, we followed the development closely and the videos looked very promising. we started playing on release day with many expectations, but the bugs made it unplayable. many quests were broken. we wanted to try and reach 100% completion, so we did all side stuff thing, windmills, gre quarantine buildings, bandit camps etc. since doing the side quests were not an option because they kept bugging and we couldn't complete them. the bugs gave us burnout so we took a long break. went back to playing last week and was so disappointed the same bugs were still there. the game breaking bugs... since we couldn't complete some of the side quests again due to the same bugs from 1+ year ago, we decided to rush the main story, but the last main story quest was VERY bugged as well, we couldn't watch the cutscene, just floated in space. with its current performance, it deserves less than 3 stars, but i really wanted to love this and i like techland so i'll be generous with my rating. techland, please release your next game less buggy, just take your time with it...

snooze fest. Wish I could get a refund

I genuinely can't understand how people like this. Movement felt like how I run in my dreams.

tbh I don't remember much of the game but I remember mechanics was fun and storyline was okay

Aiden is a moron and about 15% of my playtime was spent rolling my eyes. But the gameplay is incredible. At first I didn't love not having the same tools as the first one, but now I think I'd miss my paraglider as Crane. There's no one as beautiful as Brecken in this game, but I guess I can't have everything. The constant dev updates and free content via events are amazing and I love how much heart and soul Techland put into this game. Well done

The story makes absolutely no sense, it's so goofy, but I had a really fun time with this one and it helped me get through COVID when I got it last year. I'd love to pick it back up to play with a friend some time.

The combat is still fun but the story was terrible. Doesn't live up to the first. A buggy mess too.

Supera em tudo seu antecessor, desde jogabilidade, protagonista, trilha sonora, vilão, etc.

A ton of gameplay additions and improvements that make it the most fun first-person parkour game on the market atm, combat's a bit finicky, and the story is bloated to a tee

Played it in 2024. Used the internet to get rid of the RPG shit in the settings and make it look the closest to the first game as possible. Had the time of my life. In different settings I understand if some people liked it less

dropped it around the end bc it was getting boring but i had a lot of fun

dunno if i'll ever go back to finish it though

Starts off decently and then takes a comical nose-dive in quality during its second half. Absolutely abysmal final act that I could only get through with the assistance of a trio of friends cheering me on through Discord screen-share and an abundance of giggle juice. Bleh.

Save yourself the time, money, and mental anguish this game will ask of you and steer clear of this horrid experience.

Play the first game instead, it feels like it was actually made by humans.

not quite as good as the first one but right after i finished it they reworked the game so ill replay and re review at some point maybe

I see a lot of reviews rating this game in comparison to the first. I, as someone who never played the first, will be reviewing this on it's own with no preconceptions about what it could have been. My review is this: It's a solid double A post-apocalyptic action RPG. The parkour is the real standout, I had a lot of fun just jumping and swinging and climbing around. Chopping up zombies with modded weapons is also pretty fun, and the gore makes it feel satisfying. I'd say the story loses steam after the first third of the game, and if I'm being honest Lawan's character grated on me after awhile. The timed dialogue decisions you have to make definitely feel tense, but from what I saw I'm not sure how much those decisions really impacted the story one way or another. Some of the set pieces were really cool, like blowing up the windmill, climbing the VNC tower or any time Waltz chased you. The day/night mechanic was okay, but it was often frustrating to not be able to do a certain activity just because it wasn't the correct time of day, and to have to go find a bed somewhere, sleep, then go back to the activity. The game could be gorgeous at times, but the stiff bethesda-esque facial animations stilted some of the beauty, especially during cutscenes. Overall, a very solid game with a fun premise and great moments that isn't without it's flaws.

Bought during launch and played it through. The optimization was terrible and the game needed more polishing at that time. If I replayed now, answer could be different.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human offers a sprawling open world with plenty of parkour and zombie-slaying action, but it falls short of expectations due to various technical issues and a somewhat disjointed narrative. The game's potential shines through at times, but it's hindered by bugs and a lack of polish. While it can be entertaining, especially in cooperative play, it doesn't fully deliver on its promise and is held back by its shortcomings.

its funny game bcs i played with a friend

I dropped this game a long time ago and didn't even realize I did. It's not exactly surprising though. The first Dying Light was a good game with fun gameplay and a decent, if a little boring, story. This game just doesn't differentiate in a good way. None of the changes feel very substantial and it also just feels kind of old and outdated. Just a disappointment when you break it down which makes me not want to finish the game.

this was very depressing compared to dying light 1. no replayability, mediocre story, movement was still pretty good and some of the easter eggs were fun. but besides that its a shell of a sequel compared to the original.

1 estrela a mais pq zerar em coop foi muito divertido.

I have a very strange nostalgia for this game. I was considering giving this a 4.5 because of some of the shady stuff that went on behind the scenes but its just a good game with a not so good story but support which is incredibly commendable and I'm glad they stuck with it.

I got this game for 20€, and I would recommend it on a sale.
I think that the story is very forgettable, even though some scenes "hooked" me and some design choices are really weird. Although I liked the choice system that can impact the outcome of the game.

However, I think people should play this game for its gameplay and its presentation. I really think that these 2 elements are a lesson for the industry as they are amazing. The game looks really good, the character models and the animations are really amazing, it's not as good as Cyberpunk 2077, but it really comes close, also little details like Aiden's breath or when he makes some sounds while running are very immersive. But the gameplay!! Wow, I had so much fun running, climbing, using my grapple hook in this game and even using parkour abilities. Also, the combat is very solid because of some combat abilities that are so fun and satisfying.

Buy this game on a sale if you want an amazing presentation and a very good gameplay, but if you want a good story, it may not be for you.
