The only thing this game is missing is having an Aspect of Chaos for every weapon and when you do multiple runs in a row using a different Chaos weapon each time, Chaos takes notice of this and gets really bashful about it because They're too shy and embarrassed to just come out and say they appreciate Zagreus for making Them feel wanted after so many people forgot about Them.
Hades
I don't even know how to start talking about this beauty. I thank you, Silverblood, for purchasing this pearl.
Hades. What an ABSURDLY SPECTACULAR game. I opened it expecting to be able to finish it in a few minutes, as I'm not a big fan of Roguelike, and when I realized it, I was already at the end of the game just paying attention to the story.
I don't want to say too much about why I really recommend playing it, as it's really worth it.
The Voice Acting in this game is spectacular. The characters you meet along the way are very striking, especially if you are into mythologies. Paying attention to the story and motivation of the protagonist only makes you want to finish this game again and again.
Speaking of gameplay, well... SIMPLY FRENETIC EVERYWHERE. There are some power-ups that you find on journeys sent by the Gods and some permanent Upgrades that you can do to make your adventure easier. And they are impeccable, each one of them can completely change your run. Some bosses can be more fragile than a fly and others will have the strength of a thousand accumulated soldiers.
Challenging game, incredible story, remarkable characters, very fun gameplay.
One of the best roguelikes.

went back to this beautiful game because of my hype for the next game in the series, and my god it does not miss. rouge like is like my favorite genre ever, and this fits right in at the top of the genre. hades might be one of the most successful rouge likes in term of end game content. it always feels like you have a reason to come back, even when you basically did everything. this game is gay as shit too, which rocks. excited for the sequel, which i hope is even gayer!
The combat and movement are such a strong foundation for Hades, but the narrative and the way it plays with the genre is what really separates it from its peers. I don't often want to pursue a game's true ending, but Hades had me wanting to replay as soon as I successfully completed my first run. A mixture of wanting to make it out with each weapon and seeing how the relationships further develop had me locked in so why not add a few more victories to truly see it all.
Unfortunately, playing on the Switch is a bit of a bummer because you'll get some pretty significant fps drops during bigger fights in the later parts of the run. They're never run ending, but it would me out of the fun of the moment to moment just enough to sap my energy and keep me from wanting to do another attempt. I will, at some point, pick it up on PC and see it all then!

HADES is one HELL OF A GAME, no pun intended. This game is. a. blast.
The gameplay is insane, the levels are insane, the soundtrack is insane, the story is also insanely good, the characters are gorgeous and interesting...everything about hades is perfect.
Probably one of the best roguelikes ever made, supergiant is goated
