this soundtrack has a half decent game attached

So passionate, confident, and uncompromising in its pop-album vision that it's hard not to immediately fall in love (THAT MAIN MENU THEME ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?).

Just like Game Score Fanfare explains in his wonderful video, the entire game is designed around the conventions of pop music, not just copying but integrating what makes pop so darn infectious into the very fabric of the game.

A short but infinitely re-playable joyride that I don't think I will ever get enough of.

I'm surprised another pop artist hasn't done something like this? A playable album is an amazing idea and it works really well here.

Beautiful game, very fun and addicting to go back and get gold ranks. Love the riddle system as well in it. Plus, you can beat it in under an hour!

Lots to love but just not enough replayability for me.

Hace años no escucho pop tan bueno

Really fun game, sometimes labeled as an "interactive album". Really enjoyed the music and the animation. Didn't really feeel like replaying to get all the collectibles though, it's a nice one-time thing.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is a pretty game in such an unconventional way. In comparison to a music video, the idea of making a game to compliment an album (or vice versa) is such a fun gimmick and it visualises the themes of the record in a cool way.

I swear i started levitating during "Begin again" on my first playtrough

Played this one a lot on the Nintendo Switch and on the iPhone, now got the PS4 version to unlock some trophies. Interestingly no trophies are story related, they're all riddles you need to solve (or read a trophy guide to learn what exactly you need to do).

every time i play this game i have to cry real hard. i would write something more significant or profound about loving and hurting or whatever but it's pretty hard to do that through the waterfall of tears pouring out of my face

This is an incredibly unique rhythm game that creates the feeling that you're actively participating in a pop album audio-visual laser show of sorts. The gameplay itself is varied, creative, and it's a pleasure to navigate the auto-run courses with the gorgeous neon art and fantastic musical notes giving all sorts of sensual pleasure. There are some sections that reminded me of the great movement/sound experience in The Pathless, but this is certainly not a 1 for 1 comp to that game. As for the story, it seems to be about love, acceptance, and healing, but I wasn't really completely following it as it is definitely a little abstract. I'm not the kind of gamer to care about perfecting these levels or getting high scores, and in fact it frustrated me when I would crash and the music briefly got interrupted while the game reset me back into the level (even though to the credit of the devs this happens in a flash). It's a brief, very enjoyable experience that I'm glad I had, and I come away from it loving the music and wanting to listen to the soundtrack straight through as soon as I can get the chance.

Que jogo incrível, uma OBRA DE ARTE.
Musica boa em formato de jogo 🤩

are you tired of just hearing music ? what if you can SEE MUSIC ?

take one hour uninterrupted, put on some headphones and enjoy this wonderful playable music video in the form of an on-rails game

i decided to revisit this since it's one of my favorite games ever, there's so much love that i have for this game it's so amazingly well done, i wish there were more games like this

This game rules, guys.
I played it it twice in a row thanks to the arcade mode lol

Music is great and art style is cool but man the perspective sometimes is sooo bad in my opinion

My best friend bought me this game a couple years ago because he knew I'd like it. I sat on the title screen for a couple minutes to listen to the music, proceeded to get my mind absolutely blown by what a cohesive masterpiece of a game this is, and cried at the end.

Wild Rank!

This game really is something else.

The soundtrack, art style, and fluid gameplay will keep me coming back and playing it through again and again. Highly, highly recommended. Play with headphones and, if possible, play through in a single sitting.

More of an experience than most rhythm games. There can be visual overload at times which isn't nice for a game which requires you to be responsive. The message is excellently shown through both gameplay and visuals.
