Eu amo o Demi-fiend🖤

Very brutal and great game, had amazing graphics for its era (It was released just a month before i was born lol), really interesting philosophy behind it, has a really cool combat too, with a very high difficulty, it also has banger music and good
exploration.

I love the idea of people being able to rebuild the world based on their philosophies.

While future entries have paved over some of its rough edges, Nocturne still feels like the gold standard for modern Megami Tensei.

Solid, but later entries really picked up where this was lacking. Other than the weird pacing and zig zagged difficulty, there's a good game here.

It is over hype i had fun with the game but it's not the best Megaten game in my opinion

A total rebirth for SMT at the time, and the origin of nearly everything good Atlus has made since--Nocturne remains, even 20 years later, the best game in the franchise and, in my opinion, the whole genre.

the best smt. genius work of art that forgoes a more traditional dense plot to construct a sort of modern day creation myth with a blend of ideas from buddhism, shintoism and jewish kabbalah. it uses clever subversions of these ideas and the symbols from them to convey subtle philosophical messaging and all in all knocked me flat on my ass. also it invented the press turn system! genius.

People that insist this is the best SMT to play coming from persona are out of their minds, but that doesn't change it being so solidly itself

Game is cool (dont do the final boss on hard bruh)

It's not hard as people claim it is,the combat is fun and rewarding when you figure out how to beat a tough opponent, but the story is just ehh

Great ass game, my first SMT game and the one that taught me the difficulty of this franchise, glad to have played this

one of the worst games ive ever touched

The PINKPRINT for all following SMT games, but they've all improved on Nocturne's groundwork. The aesthetic is still peak Kaneko and holds up really well, there's a reason that these are the demon designs that became mainstays.

The moment the first fucking demon you encounter in the game beat me to death I knew I´d started something truly special.
Was going to give it 4.5 stars but I took .5 away because fuck the last dungeon man

Featuring "Imagine if your friends played the game you like: part 3" from Marl's Review Series.

"Who can we pray to? There are only demons and fiends here."

The probably most famous SMT entry, and well deserved that praise.
First of all, i must say i am a little dissapointed because i thought this game was gonna kick my ass, and it did not. It's not easy, but it's not hard either. For me is the same degree of difficulty of every other Atlus game that are not persona (even persona is harder at some points). That's a bad thing? No, but i was hoping for more after hearing so much. You will become stronger very early and if the boss it's not immune to physical, you will destroy it very easily.

Other than that i really found the story to be lacking, much of the game it's just you and that's it, characters are completely whatever and i tend to like a little more than that in storylines. The demons interactions are still amazing though.

Okay, no more cons. THE ATMOSPHERE IS SO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. The edgy boy inside of me was having a blast. Walking around, fighting fiends, feeling the air, everything was so immersive. I did the True Demon Ending so i explored the entire map (i hope i did) and was a fullfiling experience.

SMT still alive and kicking, let's go kill demons Demi.

alright so i wrote my whole ass review for this game under the hd remaster cuz that's what i played, then realized i was tracking my days played on this version. oops. pretty much all you gotta know is that this game rocks and has some of the most interesting rpg battle mechanics ive ever used, has a bangin soundtrack, looks phenomenal, but gets a bit difficult at times and has "im a 20 year old JRPG" syndrome, meaning sometimes its hard to figure out what to do next. phenomenal game that is absolutely worth your time

Has a unique vibe unlike any other in the series with harsh gameplay. Overall story is lacking in terms of any real characters mainly a solo journey but has neat concepts.

Insufferable ass game highly overrated

Shit i beat this game! Uuuuuh very good! Has a few hiccups but overall not a terrible entry point in the series for any newcomers.

All time great RPG. Combat is great, and its an incredibly deep RPG to boot. The story was good, but honestly my least favorite part. I loved the dungeons and the battle system and the difficulty.

fake fans + game is terrible = bad
