This game is just beautiful in every way. The sprites and stages are amazing, the music is great and memorable, and of course the gameplay is just 10/10.
Not one of my main fighters but one i return to pretty regularly just to play some Tizoc.

um jogo de luta extremamente subestimado, que infelizmente voou abaixo do radar de muitas pessoas
não é o melhor jogo de luta da SNK, mas entra no debate pra ser um top 5

I respect this game and what it represents, it's just not my go to SNK classic. The new characters are sick though.

I've only played it for like an hour but it went kinda hard

I love Hotaru more than life itself

I’ve barely scratched the surface of Garou, but it makes an excellent first impression for SNK. Mark of the Wolves features the most beautiful stages and fluid character animations I’ve ever encountered in a 2D fighting game.

The characters themselves are fairly simple conceptually, with most of their motifs being ‘martial artist’, but the gameplay and sprite work is on another level. I found a groove with Kim Jae Hoon and was able to complete the Arcade ladder after many, many attempts. I’ll probably still pop into the Garou: MoW every once in a while, but I’m stoked to be entering this world of SNK (and Capcom) fighters.

Also one of the characters is named Butt

Melhor game da franquia Fatal Fury, simplesmente lindo e impecável. Jogue e se empaturre de fichas pq o jogo é bem dificinho.

Both Capcom and SNK hit their peak the same year with their most important fighting franchises. Kind of crazy to think all the right creative juices were flowing at the same time.

This is my favorite SNK game so far. Great pixel art, music and fun fighting system. It just misses some features compared to modern fighting games, and the single player arcade has a horrible difficulty curve. Also I wish they made the music louder in the audio mix. I get deafened by the sound effects if I want to jam out.

now i am not a fighting game guy by any means - or at the very least have never thought myself one. a good friend and i decided to give this game a try, and we just played matches together for like 3 hours straight and it was awesome. i sucked ass and lost a bunch but i was still having the time of my life. even if, like me, you are abysmal at fighting games, there is so much to appreciate here it's ridiculous. the spritework and the soundtrack are phenomenal. it felt like a pretty good introduction to fighting games, too. seemingly simple on the surface but actually has a lot going on under the hood. ive even enjoyed playing arcade mode over and over which is something i thought would never be the case. b jenet for life

Turns out SNK's take on Street Fighter 3 is pretty excellent.

people say this is one of the best fighters out there, i disagree but i also have no idea what i'm doing

SNK's finest arcade fighting game, Garou 2 here we come. Fantastic characters, banger soundtrack, brilliant stages, you can't go wrong (except from the small player base)

one of the best fighting games of all time

once in a lifetime kind of art

A masterpiece of a game.
From its sprite work, it’s music, it’s mechanics, to it’s sound fx.
It’s not without flaws though.
I feel it has some balance issues.
The main protagonist, Rock Howard, is pretty bad. As is Remy.
I also think it was a mistake not to include the other two originals, Andy Bogard and Joe Higashi.
The point of Mark of the Wolves is the passing of the crown, so to speak, to the next generation.
Sure, Andy is represented by his student being in the tournament, but so what? Terry is there with his student. And what about Joe? Where is he?
But those are minor complaints, this game is fantastic. And finding people to play it is pretty easy if you use FightCade and Discord.

One of the best SNK Fighters if not the best.
Possibly the most satisfying Visual and Audio Design in any Fighting Game. Super Moves feel super crunchy combined amazing hiteffects it is like watching fireworks.

Overall this feels like a more polished, focused and streamlined KOF and it is just really great.

But they named one character "Butt" ...

SNK's Magnum Opus. The best fighting game of 1999.

ARE YOU OKAY
BUSTER WOOOOOLF

This boxart tells you that the game has Rock Howard, B. Jenet, Terry Bogard, Tizoc, and Kim Kaphwan's son Kim Dong-Hwan.
Frankly if you're not sold by that point I'm not sure what to tell you...but what if I told you Kim has another son?

It's hard to comprehend how inhumanly good Garou feels to control until you play it for yourself
