cried when i found out gligar was exclusive to diamond

Despite the public hate for this game I really like it! The style of the overworld takes some adjusting, but I like it. Other than that it's just a harder Pokemon Pearl. Teams have more balanced move sets and held items to create for tenser battles, which I greatly appreciate.

as a piece of art it fails on every metric. as a way to experience sinnoh, it’s the first time i’ve actually enjoyed my time there in years.

bro the fact they gave you 360 movement but kept the game grid based tells you all you need to know about these games

soundtrack absolutely slapped though

A great game for people who only kind of like Pokemon. Many quality of life features make it the most casual friendly game in the series. I did not grind once playing this. These features are forced on to you so hardcore players should just play the original. There is an intense difficulty spike right at the end though, harder than the original.

most disappointing thing pokemon has ever released

It's kinda cute and it's Pokémon Pearl so it's good

But like, it's only that after all.

Im ashamed to say i passed that much time on this game, I think everything on this game is very crappy looking. The style they chose to make this remake feel so blend and goofy looking. Yes, I'm a HUGE lover of pokemon series since this is a big part of nostalgia of my childhood, but they keep ruining my expectation since pokemon sun/moon, flop after flop. Still complete the NAT dex tho... They should have kept the pixel aspect of Nintendo DS and just put it right like it was back then, or make a 2.5D effect like Octopath traveler in my opinion

Inferior version to Platinum

What a Pokemon remake SHOULDNT be. It's a carbon copy of Pearl version, which in it of itself is inferior to Platinum.

Completely inoffensive as a remake, but I'd honestly rather play Platinum, even with the flaws it has.

This was my first adventure into the Sinnoh region, and I enjoyed it a fair amount.

This one's so bittersweet for me. Generation 4 is my personal favorite, but I can't deny that this is just a weak port, hardly a remaster. I, like many, wish they'd gone the route of Omega/Alpha, building upon the play of the original with the mechanics of the modern generation. Ultimately, it's probably better than original Diamond/Pearl, but I struggle to say it's better than Platinum. And that just really stings.

A remake of my first Pokemon game. The improved mechanics and production doesn't save it from the fact that Platinum is still a strictly better version

fuck this game fuck ILCA fuck Game Greak fuck Nintendo fuck The Pokemon Company fuck Creatures Inc

got through most of the game and forgot about it a week later oh well

this game makes garten of banban look like a cult classic

Why did this game convince me to buy a switch

Its Gen 4 alright. Nothing noteable changed. The first pokemon game I completed the dex on, thanks to HOME support and years of catching pokemon in the other games.

Game itself is fine ig but this is a terrible remake

why would they remake dp and not platinum. wasted potential, i was so excited for these ):

Ran this as a Nuzlocke, and I was bored almost the entire time. The final fight got really exciting and intense, but otherwise it was just kind of bland. I understand that this is a franchise that they want to include as many people as possible, but I wish they would include a challenge mode. They did in Black & White 2, but only after you beat the game, and then I think you had to transfer the ability to another game to do so.

They remaded the worse version of the original for no reason like why
