the gorbino's quest of first person shooters

i do really like muv luv unlimited
but
with how mind numbing parts of extra were i can't give this a high score.
i never want to hear or see anything about lacrosse again.

incredible story and mystery with one of the best casts ever, though a lot of that isn't shown in the first half. Battler and Beatrice are, of course, great, though in the first half the majority of the cast doesn't really have much time to shine with the exception of rosa and maria in episode 2. My main problem is the pacing of episode 4. The sections on the island were all great, but ange's, though shes an amazing character, feel awfully drawn out for no real purpose except to make the reader feel more pity for her.
amazing ost tho

not gonna write a ton because i'd end up going on for way too long but
i would be a much worse person if i never played this game
every single one of its themes resonates with me, and my initial playthrough of it made me completely re-evaluate myself and how i acted.
the way it's gameplay melds with the themes is also incredible, never seen a game even try something similar.
the entire cast is great here (especially joshua) and there isn't a single boring moment in the game
ost is also incredible
dont think i have a single complaint to give this game honestly

dont have a ton to say since its been a while since i played it, but this game is really great.
theres a lot of jank and I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay for a large part of the game, but it's made up for with its characters and story.
all of the sephirah are really great, and ayin and angela are amazing as well

a lot of gameplay improvements here, new quartz system felt limiting initially but i grew to love it a lot. having as large a cast as it does a majority of them don't get a ton of exploration or development, but it isnt at all bad. Comparable to my feeling of FC in a lot of ways, but what makes this one better imo is Crow and the whole final few chapters, which again invokes a similar feeling that FC's ending did, just the story didn't take as long to get exciting.

still an amazing game, but lacks the connection between the gameplay and themes the OG had, though the gameplay is still very fun.
takes a good while to get any payoff, but the entire third week is incredible
a lot less in your face with its writing than the first game, which may be why i felt it was weaker than the og
OST is somehow better than the og tho idk how they managed that

the actual story of this game is relatively generic, nothing too special. same with the gameplay, as most of it felt like a chore (especially with how easy it was).
but the characters, polca and lily especially, are so amazing i couldn't give this game anything but 5 stars. this is the only game to make me cry for multiple hours at once, and you can tell how much passion was put into it.
also shade's osts are so so good omg

one of my favorite games ever.
the gameplay system here is great-especially compared to my dislike for lobcorp's, and pretty much never got old.
some fights felt realllly bullshit (keter realization) but nothing except that felt like it was unfair.
the story is also a step up from lobcorp's, feeling much more personal as the sephirah don't get as much spotlight as roland and angela, who are both incredible.
every scene with the two of them is great, and their banter (plus later plot stuff) made me fall in love with them (and this whole game).
being a pmoon game, the world building is also really great, seeing the city from your enemies' perspective helped both develop it as well as the characters you see the perspectives of, leading to some fights where you almost want to lose.
OST is really amazing, ily sm mili

the story here takes a while to get going (2 chapters), but so far its almost comparable to how amazing ruina's was. It is bogged down a bit by it being a gacha, but it's possible to get through all content without grinding for gacha currency.
outside of canto 1 and 2, the entire story has been amazing even in its early stages.
again, the OST is great here, and mili is again the standout of the OST

peak fiction
though it does have some sort of weak moments, it's highs completely make up for it.
the rest of the Ushiromiya's get a bunch more characterization, and the addition of erika is great of course. can't really say much without spoilers, but this is one of the best things ive ever read.

one of the best and most mentally draining things ive read
a majority of this game is very depressing, but it never feels too edgy, even when it seems like it's trying to be.
surprisingly i ended up loving takeru, especially after how shitty he could be in extra and unlimited. the sci-fi elements went mostly over my head, but you can tell how much passion the developers had for this game.
best fascist propaganda ever

incredibly greuling to get through but wow is there a lot of payoff.
i hated parts of IMOI and most of LGI but when the game wants to be good its really good
didn't expect to love its cast as much as I did
don't have a ton to say abt it bc im not smart enough to analyze it but i really enjoyed it

takes a while to get good but this games story is amazing
gameplay has some great ideas, but bogged down by how easy it is, even on hard.
once the story got going though it was impossible to put the game down, only game that i've played for over 10 hours straight before
demon fusion is extremely fun as it is in every other smt game
the ending had me bawling, which is the reason it isnt 4 or 4.5 stars

only game to ever physically harm me
