Remasters and remakes succeed when they make returning to the original iterations unnecessary. The Mass Effect Legendary Edition achieves and even exceeds this expectation. By modernizing and harmonizing game mechanics across each game in the trilogy and adding the majority of DLCs, this is one of the greatest remasters for one of the greatest series ever.

Pokemon games being familiar and such a nostalgic experience create this inherent bias in us. When you take a step back and look at this game in comparison to others on the platform, it is just not very good and downright lazy. Ugly textures, lazy writing, bugs galore and uninspiring end game content. Pokémon is in serious need of a new coat of paint.

The quintessential pandemic game. A cozy, charming and low stakes experience. Nintendo really dropped the ball on deciding to not continually updating this game. It's a fun time but some of the artificial constraints the game puts on you were interesting choices and make the game very tedious at times.
