2008 was the year my mom decided to install broad-band internet at home, as a kid with a lot of free time and an obsession with Get Backers I did what any other unsupervised minor would do, look porn of it.
It was then that I found a forum called "Fortaleza Ilimitada", and alongside your usual hentai there was a very unusual tab called "Yaoi".

It was inexplicable, my fingers clenched the dusty mouse, my back ached as I got closer to the screen, as some sort of creature one of my eyes was fixed on a mirror that pointed to the entrance of my bedroom, while the other was contemplating the puzzling pleasure of two men caressing each other.

"No way" I said. "Who enjoys this gay shit" I repeated myself. I laughed it off, but every day I would return to that dreaded Yaoi tab.

I lurked hard into Get Backers and found they had VIDEOGAME, I booted up my No$GBA and ventured into it, perhaps I could find some other "gay shit" to laugh at.

There wasn't. It turns out there's actually nothing gay about Get Backers, most of the boylove fanservice was added by the Fujoshi Art Director of the anime, with no correlation to the Manga.

Anyways that's how I wasted 12 hours of my wholesome pre-teenage years playing a weird JRPG with no translation with Lust as my only fuel.

The AVGN's Simon's Quest review is now as old as Simon's Quest was at the time the review was made.

My friend made this game and it's going to be really cool

Separation Anxiety is a game born out of a Yume Nikki game jam. While most games to come out of these dwell on the same tropes, this does so with grace.

The selection of images for the parallax is gorgeous, the author art style evokes strong emotions both in the cut scenes and in the spritework, and the aesthetics are present both in your eyes and ears.

While the technical details could be polished, like backgrounds/ that don't loop right, sound mixing and tiling, it doesn't take away a thing from a game who shows the author intent.

I really hope the creator will keep on producing things, because the sings of a creative mind are clear here.

This will be the first game to sell a trillion copies
