this game could be soo much better but the mission structure is so damn boring, also so fucking easy

I know people love this game, and it's steam deck starter kit material. But HoloCure: Save the Fans is infinitely better.
This game is basically a brain dead mind numbing experience. It's just move, that's it. Move the dude. He attacks. The end. Move some more. Get enough upgrades so you don't have to move. The whole game is basically a slot machine of dopamine where the more you win the less you play it and the more you just are hitting "OKAY" to move onto the next upgrade reward.
I can see why it's addictive, but I think it's in an unhealthy way and I'd encourage people that like this game to try HoloCure if you want a better version of this experience that doesn't insult you as a human.

.Flow

2009

This YNFG is what nightmares are made of.. I mean, look at my profile picture, surely you can probably tell that I look up at this game very highly. Give it a shot if you can if you are looking for something else to play after Yume Nikki.

.Flow takes everything you are probably comfortable with in Yume Nikki and flips it on its head and it is an innovator for many fangames after it. It has lore, horror, and intrique. You have rust to be careful of and the in-game monster known as Kaibutsu to worry about as they are out to kill you and are more terrifying than Yume Nikki's Torriningen as this game wants to try and kill you if you aren’t careful. I love this game and I hope if you are looking for a game to play after Yume Nikki that you decide to give .Flow a chance. You will not regret it.

Awfully generic with terrible gameplay to boot, kicking off my horror list with a banger..

Solid RPG with clunky gameplay but satsfactory character progression!

Some of the most pain i've been in while playing a video game

Total Overdose of bad Max Payne clones

If you were to speedrun this game it would take you around 25-30 hours. This game has like 0 cutscenes.
Let that sink in.
60 maps of torture.
This game is horrible and it wants to waste your time.

This is unfortunately the worst game I've ever beaten. You know how critics back in the day would go like "oh this is so painful" and do a bunch of unfunny bits about how agonizing it is to consume a piece of media? I actually felt that exaggerated level of pain when I played this game because of how slow and meaningless it all felt. The gameplay is so ok I can't say much about it (kinda neat that you can summon the same demon a bunch of times if you get them, I think it's the only megaten game where you can do that) but the waiting it forces you to go through is unbearable. Some of the later maps are gigantic, filled with enemies with placement that is designed to waste your time, forcing you to go to each corner of the map to kill every enemy. The enemy turn time is the main problem, the game goes to each enemy unit on the map and determines if it can do anything from where it is, and if it can't it will move 1 or 2 spaces for no reason. That process can go on for like 10 minutes or longer sometimes I swear. It feels like Chinese water torture, the repitition weared away at me something fierce. And when I say meaningless I really mean it because this game has next to no story, read the smt wiki page on it and you will get everything the game tells you, more actually because some of the context from the manuel is in the wiki page write up.

It's a shame because the art and music are good, it sounds very nice and looks really good, very detailed pixel art. The main designs for the hero and heroine are cool and some of the art in the manuel is actually pretty cute and made me want to like them as a couple, but they don't chracterize them enough for me to care or feel anything. I unfortunately can't listen to a lot of the tracks either because I literally get a pit in my stomache when I listen to some of it and feel sick (not a joke, I got pavlov dog-ed into hating it).
This is the worst megaten game to me and I don't think anything will top it.

It's slow, explains 0 about mechanics and the overall controls are a pain. Take Disgaea, insert Megaten themes (demons, COMP, etc), remove tutorials, make the battles/map movement really slow and you have this game.
