@FallenGrace Sonic's forest stage is called Green Forest (and just for curiosity's sake, its music is called Won't Stop, Just Go) and Shadow's forest stage is White Jungle (and its music's name is Rhythm & Balance).

On a related note: I love that, no matter how much someone may dislike SA2, they always love the soundtrack. XD

@Lemonstrade Yeah, if I understood right on that playthrough (never researched it for myself and don't remember the game ever teaching this) it turns out the time in the garden only passes while you're inside the garden. Not just for hatching, but pretty much anything in there that takes time into account.

But I stress that it is just my personal deduction, by playing the garden only once in the many times I completed SA2. I'm not an expert by any means, so take my comments here with a grain of salt. =P

"How to hatch the eggs" was EXACTLY the question I griped with on my last playthrough, the first time I cared about the chaos at all.

It turns out you just have to WAIT IN THE GARDEN until they hatch. XD At least in the Dreamcast version.
