I play this game every now and then and have been pretty much for as long as I've been playing video games so it holds a special place in my heart for that. For an early NES game it's aged quite well but still nothing mind blowing. The first time I ever beat this game was when I was in grade 7 I had a cheap hand-held console my mom had gotten me on Wish. It had like 200 games including this on it but 99% of those games were garbage so I found myself playing this game a lot. I brought it to school a lot and eventually I actually beat Bowser at lunch one day and I was sooo excited, I pulled out my Samsung Galaxy S4 to take a picture of it and... my friend turned off the console... fuck you Ryland.

I really liked the secret event where Goku, Yoda, Eric Cartman, Scott Pilgrim, Sora, and Spiderman show up for a 7-stage boss fight where if you win you can download Mario Odyssey from the eshop for free.

Never played but obligated to give it a 10/10 because of how much enjoyment I get from joining a new MegaTen server, making a joke about how Persona 3 was the first Persona game, turning notifications on my phone, and then shoving it up my ass
Genuinely the most baffled feelings I’ve ever had on a game. Like the first 20 or so hours just dicking around and exploring is fun, then It gets sooo boring and repetitive with only a few high points sprinkled in. After the Wrothiens the story looses all momentum and the finale/ending might be the worst I’ve ever experienced. Genuinely the only thing I know for certain about this game is that it’s the worst in the series.
