so many video games. such tiny attention span.
reviews skew high because i like dangling keys and playing something you don't enjoy makes you stupider.

put about 30 hours into this game so far and i've been surprisingly high on it despite knowing very little about Granblue.
story is JRPG camp, friendship is power with corny dialogue, but i enjoy popcorn. good English voice-work though and the OST + sound direction coupled with fun set pieces made me enjoy the experience overall. ran me about 11 hours.
real highlight is the gameplay and endgame loop which is reminiscent of Monster Hunter. action is snappy and special moves/finishers are executed really well here. little depth for some characters, but the variety compensates. despite being shallow (compared to Monster Hunter weapons), every character is unique and i've had a blast bouncing between them even if it's advisable to focus on a couple at first.
haven't made it to last difficulties, but so far been one of the better games i've purchased on a whim.
edit: Rosetta & Vaseraga shill
edit2: so at 128 hours think i'm satisified. max'd out three characters. couple members of the cast need to be revisited, some QoL needed when exchanging tickets, matchmaking needs an overhaul, still a hard recommend. will return for new content when it drops!
